Who do you have to cyber to get a dmoz listing? I've been trying to get one particular site in there for over a year.

You stand a higher chance of becoming an editor than getting a submission listed. *hint hint*

I wish they'd accept my Pantyhose Amateurs site. I submitted it months ago, but of course nothing.

dmoz is crap now.

CookieCutter sites used to mask other sites is the only thing that gets accepted. And most of those are just insiders listing their own pages.

Dmoz sucks, the editors just list their own stuff and everybody does what he wants to do.

I don't give a fuck about dmoz there are better things to do for your PR than asking a thousand times why you don't get listed and get some lies as answer.

Damn I wish I was still an editor there...had a ton of adult categories, but a slight misunderstanding lead to my account suspended, damn and I used to be fair too..maybe I'll try to get it back.

Keep submitting, just change your application... apart from that, don't bother offering money it'll get your site and the editor banned.

Not to mention getting the editor banned. I would never sell a listing (assuming that's what he's looking for).

I was an editor at one time but stopped doing it. They let some asswipe help edit my area and he/she totally redid everything I had been doing.

Every time I would add something, they would tweak it or change the description. Grrrrrr...

Good luck getting listed there, it is a pain in the ass.

Still amazes me that a Dmoz listing can be so useful (and sadly it can be). Dmoz is WELL past it's best before date and is now so corrupt as to be worthless.

Submit and if it gets listed great. If not move on. As was said it's not worth that much effort.

Your best bet is becoming a editor.

Its hard to get a site listed when the editor has sites in direct competition with it.

That is why the majority of people become editors..

They try to play it off differently, but please don't give me that gay "I wanna help build a better internet" shit

DMOZ editors are absolutely fucking idiots. Friend of mine ( yes women !!! ) build entire World / Adult / Finland category ... she worked for it over two years and the fucking Finland meta-asshole very kindly and actually politely kicked she out and replaced with - i guess some friend. Nothing personal just business

Hi Trixxxia, It's a phonesex site. I see newer sites listed so I know they are updating the category. Maybe this site just doesn't meet their standards.

the only thing that they can improve on is the fact that they can send declines and reasons why they are declined.

other than that, its like a hun listings, days to months to see results.
