    Went MOOSE HUNTING and KILLED 2 ! (PICS)

    I went moose hunting with some relatives last week and we managed to kill 2 in less than 24 hours.

    2 young bulls, we're gonna have some tasty meat this winter!

                                      Never been hunting or been much of a hunter but those seem like nice catches. What did you use to bag them?

                                      I've been thinking about planning a hunting trip just so I can experience it at least once in life. I hear it's great! Nice job and that scenery looks picturesque!

                                                          We hunt moose near Quebec city, about 50 km north. Our territory is crawling with them. I didn't get a chance to fire, my dad and my cousin each killed one using 7mm rifles. We were allowed only 2.

                                                                                                                      and sounds like Dildozer is going to eat his kill... he didn't shoot them just to mount... cuz those racks are pretty wimpy ;)

                                                                                                                              People hunt every day and it's a multi-million dollar sporting industry supported and enjoyed by millions of people. Beheading people is not.

                                                                                                                                                                  It's no different than buying beef at the local market. An animal had to die for you to eat it. It's easier for many of us to stomach it when we don't have to kill it ourselves. Some people enjoy the sport of killing. As long as the meat is eaten and as long as wild stocks are not endangered, and the animal suffers as little as possible, there is nothing wrong with it.

Back home they open up extra seasons and allow extra tags every now and then just to help with the over-population issue. I know of one city that actually hires snipers every year to help take out some of the deer running around. The meat isn't wasted either, they donate it to the homeless shelters.

                                                                                                                                                                      Any hunter that wastes their meat is crazy. Even if they don't care for the meat, they can easily sell it for top dollar. I LOVE venison, elk is a little too gamey for my taste though.
