In case you missed this on the first page:

I would like to APOLOGIZE to anyone and everyone who were harmed or took offense at this unfortunate situation. We made a mistake in releasing these descriptions to our FHG writing client, Topbucks.

Let me make one thing clear regarding this unfortunate situation: This oversight is by no means the fault of Topbucks or any of its related companies or employees. Webmasterlabor.com retains sole responsibility for this error.

There were over 35,000 descriptions in Topbucks? portfolio. They outsourced these descriptions to Webmasterlabor. The error came from a Webmasterlabor employee who apparently did not know the historical/social nuance behind the N word. In essence, the N word?s usage in rap is NOT and could NOT be excused in other settings. This person no longer works for webmasterlabor.com However much this EXPLAINS what happened, we are not asking for an excuse and webmasterlabor.com takes FULL responsibility for this oversight. We have taken strong actions to ensure that this situation does not occur again including but not limited to the termination of the offending employee.

Webmasterlabor is by no means a racist company and we apologize deeply for this oversight.

We are releasing the revised text descriptions very shortly to Topbucks.

Thank you for keeping an open mind.

nice on ya..i know itis hard for people from other countries to wade through all the rap/tv etc which seems to glorify the word and many other controversial issues. It is a pity you had to fire that writer, but then again it is not a small mistake.

$5, very understandable mistake, that's about what I (and I'm sure others) figured. Outside the US it's common to hear the term in movies and music said casually by blacks, and there aren't he talk shows and radio shows and news stories dwelling on the "N word" to counterbalance that.

Personally I think you should not fire the person who wrote it. It was unintentional, understandable, and I'm sure s/he won't do it again. Alternative countermeasures you could put in place to would be to use automatic taboo-word filters on decriptions before shipping to clients, or providing employees with a list of taboo words. You're expecting someone from another culture to know that bitch and fuck are okay in US porn, but n*****r and lol**a are offensive.

First I'd like to thank Captain Canada for bringing this to our attention; when we reviewed the text for the galleries, we found some other problems that were addressed prior to posting the new descriptions, but unfortunately these descriptions slipped past.

While I appreciate Gene stepping up and taking responsibility for the initial mistake, in the end these were our galleries, and it is of course our responsibility to see to it that this sort of thing doesn't occur. 35,000 descriptions is a lot to go through, true, but we still should have caught this.

We apologize profusely for any offense, and we're rewriting/replacing the descritpions for those galleries right now. We will also go back through the descriptions again, and verify that other examples of such problems exist.

I don't see this so much as an indictment of outsourcing, which can be good solution when there is simply more work to be done than can be accomplished in-house. What it does underline is the necessity of good internal quality control and oversight of work that is outsourced, once the work has been turned in.

Did you actually bother to read any of the descriptions? Ignoring the 'n' word they were fucking terrible. Even had they not started with n.igger I'm fucked if I'd want them used in any site I run. Not only could the guy not understand when an offensive word was used, he also had a very limited grasp of English. Of course he should be fired.

Although it shouldn't have happened I can see why and how the 'n' word thing occured. I find it almost more worrying that people are being used to write English descriptions who obviously can't. Had he not used n.igger there'd still be a load of sites out there using terrible descriptions.

The plus side of course is that now this has been court the quality should remain good as more checks will be in place. Time to import a load of TB galleries I think :D

Ah...lolita :)

Well, I don't think it is offensive.

It is often vieved in the US as a term that refers to CP - not in Europe though.

I wouldn't call this word offensive, rather controversial and that's why it is banned by many programs nowadays.

Personally, it doesn't sound bad to me, but I am from Europe.

Anyway, there have been already many threads about it, no need to discuss it again.

If he was fired for terrible descriptions, okay, I'm just saying I don't think he should be fired for using n***** without realizing it crossed the line.

I mis-wrote...the term isn't really offensive in the US. My intended meaning was that its use is unacceptable to most US porn companies, while it's more acceptable (and has a different connotation) in parts of Europe.
