California rolls usually don't have meat in them unless they have the fake crab stuff. Good sushi is made when you order it - just order whatever rolls you like minus the meat :)

If my girl loved it as much as I do I'd probably spend about that much on it too. She loves sushi, don't get me wrong. But she can't eat the same thing as often as I can. She has to have more variety than me. We only spend around $500 per month on it.

The BEST sushi I've ever had comes from Station Sushi in Solana Beach, Ca. Second best is The Rawbar here in Chico, CA.

Today I ate at The Rawbar.

Was there 2 days ago!! Did the albacore, yellowtail, salmon, smoked salmon, rainbow roll, and for dessert.....unagi!!! Mmmmmmm. Sushi for two with tip $50.

I had 20 something pieces, plus a nice glass of wine and some iced tea.

Oh, and I tipped $35. Because if you know how most sushi bars work you'll tip the waiter/waitress and the cooks seperately. The cooks do all the work for 2.5% of the tips. Today I tipped the waiter $15 and the cooks $20.

When the electricity goes out here, I just lop off a thigh chunk and stick a wick in it for light.

I don't know how you do it? We leave there STUFFED off $50. Your place must be pretty pricey cuz last time you were here it was still under $200 for 5 (well 4 1/2). But shit, $109 for just you....amazing. LOL
