      I think it would just be handed back to the republicans.

      hopefully kerry would do as well as bill clinton

          the only way I could see it happening is if someone with a lot of money and a good platform came forward as a third party candidate. Perot got about 25% of the vote when he ran and he turnned into a loon about halfway through his campaign. If he would have remained as solid as he was in the first few months of his campaign he may have had a real shot.

                          for third parties to have a shot in a national election they need to first build a credible party base at state and local levels.

                          that's how germany has such a strong green party. it came up grass roots.
                          Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war.

                              I really think that is the only way a 3rd party has a solid chance at entering the 'real' race...


                              libertarian party platform is pretty groovey, but they lack some figurehead with WICKED charisma...

                              any moderate republican, conservative democratic mix of platform + charismatic figure = a shot....everything else = not a chance

                                  I know that if Kerry is elected that the right wing will attack him the entire time he is in office just like they did to Clinton. He'll have to stay squeaky clean if he wants to get anything done.
