Dang! MS Messenger is back! How the F**K do I get rid of it this time? - GoFuckYourself.com

I disabled ms messenger with the admin options..but re-installed ms office, and now the sob is back!

It still shows it as disabled in the options category..but how and where do I go to shut it off from starting up every time I boot up?

(Yes..I do run msconfig and get it out of the start up group too..but that doesn't stop it).

try starting two GFY threads, that should solve the problem!

Your mileage may vary:

Start > Run > 'gpedit.msc'
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Messenger

then in the right pane, enable those settings. and you should be good.
