I think this is a great question, but no one seems much help. I will try to pull up stats on my one site that I have click counters on everything to help with an answer.

It obviously varies - a banner will sometimes give you less than .5% while a FPA will be MUCH higher.

even if you send all the traffic on your sponsors, some of them might count less than 30%

Depends on what kind of traffic. Is it traffic from blind links? If so the productivity will be shitty. It also depends on what your advertising and on what kind of site. It also depends on the banners themselves. If they look like shit and are located near the bottom of your site than not many surfers will click them. Just use a little common sense and you will answer the question for yourself.

Yo Dr. Pecker.

If you have 300 out of 1000 people hitting up your sponsors you are doing someting right. That is very good.

But if you are only getting 1000 people a day to your site, this may be a reflection of you forcing too much traffic to your sponsors and not enough to your trades or content resulting in the low volume you have.

So it seems you may be shooting surfers to your sponsors at the expense of growth and future profitablity by not creating your bookmarker base and not focusing on your trades.

All traffic is from SE i don't trade traffic on this site as of yet maybe later on. I'm only going after SE traffic.

Dont count on SE traffic.. Breed that traffic.. You can be unlinked overnight with SE traffic, and unless you breed that traffic and get a base or foundation with either bookmarkers or trades you can find yourself with 30% of zero going to your sponsors.
