Reminder: lanclandesigns is a thief who runs false contests.

He threw a contest a while back for a new logo for his site. After receiving several awesome entries, he said they all sucked, decided not to pay out his prize and disappeared for several months from GFY.

He recently resurfaced, thinking everyone had forgotten. When I called him on it, he mistakingly posted the URL of the site he wanted the design for, thinking he was safe because it had expired. Turns out that the whois.sc cache of his site revealed he had indeed used one of the logos from the contest and never paid the designer.

He tried to justify his actions, promised to make good on payment and never did.

He's a thief.

I never actually used the logo, I put up a coming soon page THE DAY of the contest, cause I WAS going to pick that as a winner, but the SAME DAY i was going through CHANGE like we all do with ideas on what to do and where to go on the internet, and i scrapped that whole idea the same day, so i decided not to pick a winner, BUT I GUESS since I did use the logo for maybe 30 seconds I would of paid him but he dont exist on gfy anymore. its only $50.00. psycko your a loser thanks

I know of PLENTY of people in this business who made fortunes legitimately and without being rude to ANYONE. I take great offense to anyone saying that you have to cheat or commit fraud in order to get ahead in this business. The TRULY "smart" people don't need to resort to that.
