    I Love Vonage -- (spam)

    ---- Begin Spam ---
So my coworker sends me a link to signup to Vonage. The links gets him a free month for referring me, and me a free month for signing up. I drop Qwest immediately because I'm paying about $40 for basic phone service -- no voice mail, no long distance, no caller ID, nothing.

I join Vonage for $29.95 and get unlimited long distance calling anywhere in the US and Canada. I get voice mail (both via phone and over the internet), caller ID, basically everything for one price that Qwest would have gladly fucked me over for extra.

Late last week I login and check my email to find one from Vonage customer service saying they have lowered my monthly bill to $24.95. No reason given, just that they lowered their price.

All I have to say is, "Fuck the PBX's". VoIP rocks.

    Vonage: http://www.vonage.com/

If you want to drop your email, I'll shoot you a referral link via their website.

If you wanna flame, flame on. Otherwise, have a lovely day.

How's the sound quality? Is it just as good as a normal land line?

            I couldn't tell the difference.

What was even cooler is I took the main line from their modem, plugged it into the phone jack in the wall next to my computer all all phones in the house worked. Kind of trippy, but I'm not going to complain.

Can you elaborate on this? By modem you mean the $50 vonage box that you plug your phone into?

The only thing that makes me uneasy is that if the power goes out, so does your phone service. If I had a cell phone, I would jump on it.

I've had it for about a year, you have to dial the whole Phone number with area code everytime you dial out, they give you a very large local area, mine covers most of norhtern california, the 916 and 530 area code, I get unlimited long distance in canada and the us for $25 bucks a month. Your voice mail is on there site and they like to do redirects to some low cost mortgage company, the site loads slow, if your doing a large upload, it fucks with your reception. I don't get phone calls for buying shit anymore! they can't find the number, it's not on any list!! dialing 411 is weird, and you have to sign up for it, but you can get 911 which I do have! There is a bunch more features, but no phone line hooked up to my house!!
Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
                      think about that

I have them as well and was happy to see the charge drop.

But we use it so much. Most people say that its not woorth it,, But if you call long distance enough it is.

I Signed up for vonage not long ago and love it. I don't have a local number but I use it for my office lines only so it doesn't matter. Sound qaulity is the exact same as a land line for me. Good shit
