What's really sad is that in today's society we assume that people have an ulterior motive in virtually everything they do.

It's possible that these two will get divorced in 6 months. It's also possible that they'll grow old together.

The fact that he's rich and famous is only gonna work against them. I'm not gonna assume whether they last or not that she was just in it for the money. She could easily be in love now and grow tired of their relationship.

It happens everyday and not just to the rich and famous. How many people do you know that have been divorced? Did they love each other once?

Shit happens to everyone.

P.S. Why do you say that YOU would NEVER marry for money, but automatically assume she's gonna marry him and ditch him? Are you stating, without even knowing her, that you're a better person than she is?

Dude, come'on. Take away the fact that she's a model and he's a wealthy golfer, put them in a crowd in a party (even get them together in a conversation), you think they'll "hit it off"? Bullshit. He's a fucking dork, with a personality of a melon. There is no way his wealth and her good looks aren't the basis for this marriage. :2 cents:

Almost nobody marries for sheer love. Many of us marry for recognition/status, money etc. The majority of us marry because we don't want to be alone and we become contented with who/what we're married to (because most of us want the hot models but can't get them). That's for guys and girls.

Again, this doesn't cover everybody, but that pretty much sums up almost everybody.

Is fame really worth it? I'd rather be well-known and respected by a few than unknown but adored by many. I like my anonymity just as I like the money to be made doing what I love.

I think everyone dreams of being famous, but when it comes down to it, I don't think everyone could handle it. I wouldn't wonder but if that's the reason so many celebrities turn to drugs and alcohol. :(

Me personally wouldnt marry for recognition or status etc... But everyone has their own opinion I guess. I really wouldnt say "Almost nobody marries for sheer love" . I dont agree with at all.

Agreed.

As far as fame goes, lots of luck, connections, and most often a little bit of talent. I say 'little bit of talent' because talent is relative. There are people who have made remarkable medical break-thrus and I would say some of them are truly talented but nobody knows there name, while the Paris Hilton's of the world get much more adoration, but are clearly less talented.

Good point. Its always the people with the least talent that end up with most recognition.

on fame...

seeing that im a (up and coming) record producer and deal with people who want to be famous all the time, and the business of fame itself, I can say confidently that there are certain x factors in the whole equation that have no explanation, you can't plan for or try to make happen they just exist and dictate how things work sometimes.

all you can do basically is make sure your talent level is always well above average and "luck" is a combination of things that you ultimately have something to do with. if you put yourself in the right company with the right people and give yourself a shot to be noticed then luck may come your way.

models, some of them just have a specific look that really catches on, or maybe they met the right person at the right opportunity. a lot of times its all about 1 + 1, if you're hungry but there's no food store you're outta luck, conversely if you're a food store and everyone's full you're out of luck. you need to be able to fill a void for a demand, and those windows of opportunity are hard to come by.

fame, for the most part, is a money driven concept. people with loads of money spend it on putting your face/likeness on tv/print/cd in hopes to profit off it. if you were rich but had no talent you could still be famous simply by buying yourself visibility.

on tiger woods and his wife...

i agree with some of the other people, you can't say for sure they're not in love. i think everyone's jealous and rightfully so. let's face it who wouldn't marry that chick, even if it was all about status. but we don't know them well enough to assume things about their personal life.

EvilMichelle 10-06-2004 01:38 PM

Knowing the right people, drive, some talent, a great agent and last but not least, not having a fear of rejection...just to name a few, This will get you to the top... or you can just take the easy way like alot of these ho's and fuc...yo way to the top... Theres plenty of woman out there that have morals but theres nuff of them out there that will do what they have to do to get to where they have to get!

I'm sorry.

This is GFY.

Common sense and rationality is not allowed.

Please move along.

Great advice and thanx for it. Its so easy sometimes for people to say " You can do anything you put your mind to" But can you? Can you promote yourself on tv or in the newspapers with no moola? Not really. Then theres luck I guess...The next thing someone really wanting something will wish for.

That's just wrong on so many levels... :(
Does he even realize he's just buying a piece of white pussy? Does he not have enough dignity to realize that the joke is on him? I predict this marriage will be as succesful as Lisa-Marie Presley and Michael Jackson.
