    Dog for sale (pic)



    A dog is wrapped for sale at a market in the Baiyun district in China's southern city of Guangzhou. In this dark, foul-smelling market, traders have just about anything to offer from birds and waterfowl, domestic dogs and cats, to the exotic flying squirrels and leopard cats. What cannot be supplied legally from farms is hunted from the wild, or imported, as well as smuggled, from overseas. (Kin Cheung/Reuters)

                                  That is some really sad shit. But it is not much different in Mexico either.

                                  We stopped and looked at a boxer puppy ( about 5 months old) and he had been in a cage so long that he could not stand all the way up. My wife wanted to buy him, but we already have 2 dogs and a bird, so we could not.

                                      The Asian cultures don't look at dogs, cats and other domesticated animals like we do. To them they are food and they treat them horribly like they do all other livestock.

                                      Its a very sad situation. The governments have enacted laws under massive pressure and complaints over the years from other countries, and it has gotten a bit better, but its so widespread that its next to impossible to enforce.
