Does anybody here even make money? (stats)

http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showth...adid=363619&s=

^ regarding that thread.

I sent 225 webmasters their way. According to their stats 15 signed up. And in a week a total of 2 sales were made.

I made 2 dollar something from referring them.

Something here is very odd.

A new program made by well known people, shitloads of exclusive content and promo tools. Overall a great program. Spam posted on a major webmaster board, tons of pageviews and this is the result. 2 sales.

This simply amazes me.

5% make 95% of the money . . . of those 15 that signed up under you, 1 of them is doing anything. I am surprised you are doing that well.

BTW, how many sales have you made in that time period?

i didnt sign up under you, but I've had a banner up on my free site for about 6 weeks since they opened up beta testing, and I only have one signup out of like 3000 clicks... I would think that ratios would be better for a completely free site like that, but I guess those download DVD video sites are now so overexposed what with Videosz and porndvddollars out there already

Aside from a couple of people the only time any of my referrals make money is when I show them exactly what to do.

No it doesn't.

It goes to show you that people join programs to see what's going on, to investigate their sites and tools, and for later use. If you get 10% of your total affiliates sending traffic, you should have a smile on your face as that's a very good number. I would say 5-7% active webmasters is the norm.

I have joined probably hundreds of affiliate programs over the years. I actively send traffic to maybe 20-30 and get monthly checks from 10-15 different sponsors. I'm certainly no player, but I'm not a surfer either.

I'm just lately seeing money come from my referrals to that site and I had a couple weeks jump on you.
Give it a little time, sometimes people sign up for a program and don't push it till they see it converting with small amounts of traffic.
But I understand what you mean, I don't know how many refers I've sent to programs over the years that end up just flat dead, I've got like 50 under me on CECash and have made like 50 cents total from them in 3 years, and I just made 3.50 from a Topbucks referral for the 1st time ever.

This is correct ,
In this case, yes I would say 10% of good affilates sending you traffic is fair enough . I also have joined well over hundred programs and actively using less then 20 @ this time .

There's not much of a middle-class in porn. Webmasters either make a shitload of money or they make next to nothing.

come on battuss how much sales did YOU make during that time period ??

if you would know anything about affiliate programs you would know that it is quite common for people to signup just to check out the affiliate admin

so this thread basically confirms your total ignorance in that field imho

If you are talking about TCG is particular. Heres some thoughts.

Their sites are expensive to join. Only the right affiliates will be able to convert that program.

They don't appear to list pricing until after they get the surfers name and email address.

I signed up for them under someone else. I pushed a little bit, didn't see results and started questioning if efforts would be better placed.

Big give-a-ways cost money as do high payouts. That comes from someplace. This time its prolly the price of a join.

I see a ton of GFYers flying their banner, so someone must be doing well with them.

Although in this example, I'm the one who made the two sales under Battuss

Battuss, the majority of the people, like me, are probably saving it all for the promo on 10/31. If you're lucky, you'll probably see at least 10 sales there. A whole $14

Sending referrals is a crapshoot. I sent 139 clicks, 7 webmasters, and I've also only has 2 referred sales under me.

Ditto. I've never made decent money from referring webmasters unless you hold their hand and do all the work for them.

That said, I signed up under you and haven't done anything yet. Why? Because you're about 10 new sponsors down the list. I'll get to you eventually. Busy busy

Lots of "big players" probably saw your thread and signed up, but not through your referral link. Thats just the way people are. The people who signed up under you are probably people who know you and maybe some newbies.

You have an actual list?? Impressive

Damn I wish I was that organized. I used to throw sites I wanted to look at later in favorites. Then I would never look at them. So then I started creating desktop shortcuts, so they would be staring me in the face. I fill up my desktop and then throw them in a "stuff" folder that....never gets looked at

Yeah, I don't always get back to look at all of them. But I have a folder in Eudora where I put all "New sponsors". Then when I have time I add new sponsors to my tgp galleries or banner rotator, links list or whatever.

It's not a great system, but I don't think I lose too many of them. Occasionally they close down before I get a chance to set them up but.. whatever.

Lots of "big players" probably saw your thread and signed up, but not through your referral link. Thats just the way people are. The people who signed up under you are probably people who know you and maybe some newbies.
Why do you suggest only newbies sign up under referral codes?

My post does not suggest "only" newbies signup under referral codes. My post states it is possible "some" newbies signed up under Battuss.
