Best of luck with it all Tootie and hope it comes through for you. I've been there in the past and all I can say is hang in and keep trying. Those with just a little intelligence that push ahrd enough will nearly always succeed in the end. Those who fail are the ones that quit when the going gets really tough.

In fact, you want some ammunition to use in your game?

I'm broke. I have 5 kids to feed. My rent is over a month late. My car payment is 3 months late. I'm behind on every single bill I have. I'm such a loser that I work 14 hours a day and I still can't keep caught up. My babysitter quit and now I have to watch the kids AND work, which means I can't sleep much and I'm tired as hell and very cranky. And to top is all off, I found out that I need a biopsy because I may have cervical cancer and I don't have medical insurance.

Do you think ANYTHING you have to say can be worse than what I'm going through right now? Go for it.

Nice move you whiney little bitch.

Look...Yeah, ok...So it sucks to be you right about now. Guess what? We've all been through some shit like that at various points in our lives. That does not excuse the fact that you have been making bad judgment calls that make you look like a complete fucking moron.

THEN you come here and use MY name to draw attention to your pity party.

FUCK YOU.

I don't give a fuck if you are on your God damn death bed. If you say something that is out of wack, I am going to set you straight on it.

Now...Go cry on the shoulders of more GFY people and beg for work. That's gotta do wonders for your pride. :thumbsup

Not a God damn thing....BUT...That's all that the trolls can really bash me on since they know I am usually right, my business is sound, and most of their lives suck compared to mine.

Jealousy is a bitch.

Don't expect any more replies from me in this thread, tootie. You got what you wanted....ATTENTION and job offers. Congrats. Now go pay some bills and earn some money before you start another post about me because you need gas money for your soon to be repossessed car and medical bills.

Do I have a heart? Yes, but you sure as hell ain?t gonna see it on a board filled with idiots who start threads like this at my expense.

Cry me a fucking river. :waaaaahh

Good Luck to you tootie...

we may have some board differrences from time to time, but you always keep itt real:thumbsup and you are very good at what you do.

I wish you the best in a turn around of circumstances that have hit you now...

It is happening all over, and is certainly not an issue of talent in many cases.

As far as Aaron goes, he would do better, if he were to change his outlook towards people, and the way he treats others in an attempt to look cool, bigger than he really is, or to feel superior to them for some kinda god complex or something. I hope he figures this out one day soon.

If you had read the thread that started this then you would understand that Aaron was calling her a moron because she was acting like one and not because she had an opinion.

3. I don't expect him to go easy on me. I want him to be evil, horrible, mean, cruel and sarcastic. And hopefully get it out of his system.

And the business has worked VERY well for me in the past. I have plently of people can tell you what a WILD success my ARS BYOTs were. But when ARS discontinued their BYOT program, I lost a MASSIVE chunk of my income. I didn't have all of my eggs in one basket, I had other income, but it wasn't enough. Sadly, that income too has dropped severely, to almost nothing in fact. And that is out of my control. I also invested most of my income into building my own paysite at the request of numerous people who promoted my BYOTs and knew how well they converted. Unfortunately, ARS stopped the program just a few weeks before I was ready to open and my bills have been getting further and further behind ever since.

I don't need to find another business. I was BORN for this business. I feel it through and through. But I've had a series of unfortunate events that would put almost anyone behind, no matter how talented or motivated they were.

I have put alot of hard work, sleepless nights and money into this business and I am NOT giving up.

Nice.

OK:thumbsup

Sounds like just a rough time, but ya got the spirit, hats off to ya :glugglug

Good luck with the biopsy Tootie, and don't let it stress you too much. Cervical cancer has a very good cure rate. I had it and all they had to do was freeze off some cells and I was good to go. Both my mother and grandmother had it and they lived at least 40 years afterwards.

As for your financial circumstances I have learned that the best way to handle things is to live a minimalist life until you have money in the bank...especially if you have 5 kids you have to think of. Get rid of everything that is not needed at the moment. That goes for cable channels, subscriptions...all that non-vital stuff. You could also start cooking instead of eating take-out. I remember a thread around Christmas or so where you said that your family eats take-out almost every day because you don't have time to cook. Even making canned soup and a sandwich for dinner is much cheaper than buying take-out for 7 people and will also be much healthier for your children. Fast food is not the most healthy of foods and there are things you can do to provide good food at low cost, even when you are short on time.

Don't replace the babysitter, instead spend 1/2 hour a day organizing the children and you will not only keep them amused but you will also have more time to spend working. Get together craft ideas, craft supplies etc. and keep them busy. Older children, even if they are not much older can assist in the care of younger children if you give them the responsibilty. Think back to the early 1900's when 10 year olds would be in charge of the family farm while the parents went on a journey for a couple weeks. They even had to bake the bread, light the fires, milk the cows. Given this idea, you can see that many children are capable of doing much more than most parents realize.

One good way is making the oldest "teacher" because kids love to be the teacher or the babysitter. Let the child come up with ideas on how to amuse the siblings. Even 6 and 7 year olds can come up with games and activities to do.

Look for other sources of income to help pay past due bills. Things like selling retro stuff you can buy at second hand stores on eBay. Where there is a will, there is a way. I personally work about 16 hours a day, 7 days a week...and have for as far back as I can remember. Organization and prioritizing is the key.

The above posts show this, everyone has a job for you somewhere. You can easily increase your work load if you were to spread yourself over a few high traffic webmaster hot spots. I understand shit takes time, but things dont add up.

I'm not really understanding the situation, but good luck to you. :thumbsup

edit: I also remember you being "backlogged" with work ...

Thank you for all the thoughtful and helpful responses, everyone. I truly appreciate it. :)

And Aaron, thank you for posting. Sincerly. I got exactly what I expected from you. I hope you've got things out of your system so I can get back to business, but if not, I guess you can keep flaming me if you want to. I certainly have better things to worry about than petty board arguements, and at least I've learned one thing from all of this. I will certainly avoid you from now on. You have one less "idiot" to worry about invading your space, I guess. :thumbsup

And yes, emthree, I am backlogged at the moment. I have been for a few weeks. I had a special on custom TGP design and got quite a few orders, not nearly enough to get caught up, but enough to pay a minimum payment on a couple of utility bills. Then I got a job that was large enough to pay my rent and some back bills, too. They were unwilling to pay even 50% up front, but I took the job against my better judgement because I really needed the money. I spent quite a while working on it, thinking I might actually be able to get caught up finally. Then the client came back, told me he didn't like any of it, and wouldn't pay. After I told him that I'd worked hard and was willing to change it, he told me we would continue to work on it and try to get it right, but of course that put me further behind, having to do the same job twice. I sent him the latest changes to the first site 2 days ago, but I haven't heard from him. Hopefully he will like them and I can finish the other sites up the same way and get paid. He's an honest person, I have no doubt I'll get paid if I can just get these done the way he wants them, but it has set me back HARD.
