Sexual Harassment can be funny
Since a lot of you hate to read, I'll post a short version and a long version.
The short version:
A teacher molested one of my friends. Normally that would be sad, but given the circumstances, it's actually quite funny.
The long version:
So one of my friends from Japan, who has only lived here like a year or so, goes to school at a community college that is part of the Universtiy of Hawaii, and at the beginning of the school year he told me that one of his teachers touched his face, and I made fun of him for being gay. We laughed it off because I figured that it was just the teacher being nice to an exchange student who barely spoke english, even though told me that he thought the teacher really was coming onto him. So two weeks go by and I don't hear from him, then he just now comes over will all these papers and has me read them, one of the papers is a letter to the school describing how he asked the teacher for help with the class and the teacher started touching his leg and stuff, then touched his penis while telling him that he loved him in Japanese. It was fucking hilarious. Turns out he turned off his phone because the teacher kept calling him all the time. The fucked up part is that he got a letter back from the school that said that they don't turn sexual harassment cases over to the police, but I guess he and his family are going to do something about it. And some Japanese diplomats are apparantly looking into it or something, I dunno, but theres something funny about a 20 year old exchange student getting sexually molested by a gay teacher.
And before you all tell me that it really isn't funny, the kid that it happened to doesn't think that what actually happened is funny, but when I was reading it and laughing he was laughing too saying that it was funny. I'll try to scan a copy of the papers and post them, then you'll see that it is humorous.
