He said, "The Department of Justice is dedicated to prosecuting those who illegally distribute adult obscenity materials and child pornography. These prosecutions are a priority for this Department, and the Criminal Division's Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section and the 94 United States Attorneys across the country stand committed to enforce the federal statutes in this area... Those who illegally distribute obscene material will be prosecuted aggressively."

In early June, the Attorney General met with all representatives from United States Attorneys's offices around the country in an "obscenity law enforcement symposium" to develop "a national obscenity strategy for aggressive federal prosecutions" in obscenity cases.

In October, the U.S. Justice Department conducted its first obscenity law enforcement training session for federal prosecutors and investigators in more than a decade.

I am not worried because I do mainly softcore stuff. They have a lot of webmasters to go through before they ever get to me, which I doubt would ever happen.

There's a reason old 70's movies were actual movies with scripts and attempts at acting...because to show just sex showed no intrinsic artistic value...and was therefore obscene.

Obscenity cases have been brought against a video store for renting a video with group sex, anal sex and insertion of toys...the prosecution lost the case..but who here can handle the cost of defending themselves against such a case?

Oh sure, they love us when they're alone in the dark with a credit card. But sure as fuck they don't want us in the PTA or local block watch.

It's a tough go of things. I get hassled at customs. Police ask what I do and give me that dirty look when I answer them honestly. I knew it was going to be like that. I knew when I was a kid and asked my father why the Adult Video stores were only in scummy downtown areas.

What makes you think a Kerry Administration is going to be any different? I don't think either Candidate is ideal for President, or for the porn industry.

Right, but Clinton can't be President again. You think if Kerry wins this election, he won't make an appeal to conservatives in 2008?
