Where to register domains from other countries? NL guy wants to reg .us .de .be etc.

Hey,

I'm trying to register some country code TLD's for a new project but it seems like I need to be a citizen of that certain country.

I'm from the Netherlands and when I try to register a .us domain at www.godaddy.com, it asks me if I'm a citizen of USA or a permanent resident of the USA.

Is it even possible for me to register domains with other country codes? And if so, where can I register them without too many problems?

Thanks for your help.
Mike

It depends on the country .... some are only able to be registered by people within that country, others, anyone can register them.

I've registered some .cn names through namecheap.com before, so I know you can do i there. Note that international domains are more expensive for the most part ... depending on the country and the registrar, up to 3 to 4 x's .com/.net/.org

You can register .us domains if you have any business relations to americans, so no biggy you won't get any problems.

You can't register .de domains without being a german citizen located in germany or company.

If you really need some hook me up: 273533518 and we can talk about it.

He is dutch with a problem, I send him to a board full of members who potentially will have the same problem and thus solutions

but agreed adultwebmaster.nl is not a REAL webmaster board
