Songs over used in movie soundtracks?

My nominations:

Smash Mouth - All Star
The La's - There She Goes
Steve Harley - Come Up and See Me (fantastic song but over used)
Peter Gabriel - Salisbury Hill (same as a above)

All songs that might not be bad songs but are used in too many movies. Just saw a comerical for yet another kids movie using All Star which is what sparked this. Anymore?

Several songs by Nick Drake have been overused during "touching" or "pensive" moments in a lot of these arty flicks in the past 2 or 3 years. Most recently in Garden State.

"Born to be Wild"

great song but i think there needs to be a 5-year moratorium on it.

"Get Ready For This" by 2 Unlimited

it was used in Bring It On, Bedazzled, and a movie with Vivica A. Fox in it.

also, an Enya song (i forgot the title) is used in too many dramatic movies, including Billy Eliot.

Bad to the Bone by George Thoroughgood gets more than its fair share of play in movie soundtracks. George is cool though, just the song gets old after hearing it so much.

"i will survive" originally sang by gloria gaynor but has been sang/remixed by different artist to match different movies.

any song that is in commercials-INSTANT DEATH

i agree about the SmashMouth song as well. i hated
that damn song the minute i first heard it. and hearing
it in about 20 movies and commercials is just
retarded.

Personally, I think any Enya song is over played.
