What do you guys/gals think of RomanceCup.Com?
I've been looking for nonporn sponsors that convert well [see my earlier post]. I've been looking for nonconventional categories [dating, penis enlargement are oversaturated] to promote. There's the male-female relationship category typified by "how to pick up girls" site which I'm exploring.
I recently came a post-dating website called RomanceCup.com -- its a service for romantic proposals for dudes/dudettes taking the plunge. Interesting niche. Anybody else know or use their sponsor program? Does it convert? I haven't seen anything else like it so I'd like your feedback before I sign up for their sponsor program. |

"With our current services costing $150.00, you can earn $30.00 for every successful referral."
$150.00?! Well they apparently do put some effort into it, but I don't think it would make a woman happy to know you had to pay someone to come up with an idea. Then again, I live by myself - so what do I know. They are not listed in AltaVista, Fast, Google, MSN, or Lycos. The domain is only purchased at the end of june - they claim to have four testimonials (they could have had an offsite business I guess). And the last words on the page after the copyright are "John 3:16". I also could find no record for the trademark they claim to own. |

Do you think its worth the plunge as an affiliate? They're listed on Yahoo. Seems to be the only site in the marriage proposal category with its own affiliate program.
Due to the upscale price, I'm thinking this is probably for the upscale "yuppy" urban professional crowd. Anyone know what kind of adult content this crowd checks out? Probably hardcore as everyone else but maybe bikini galleries? Quote:

Honestly, doesn't seem like it has much potential...
I dont think too many people thinking about something as serious as marriage would consult their computer for advice. Plus look at they payout, 30 bucks out of a $150 sale? C'mon - that's 20%! ------------------ My Webmaster's Page General Webmaster Info, seen from my point of view ;) Sponsors List Page Organized, honest listing of sponsors and my comments on them |
