They are both equally prepared only Bush has always been a bad debater and Kerry is simply better.

Yes I noticed that. He may have not had the 4 years of training for public speaking not sure. Hes been doing this for a long time. It appears that he is looking at the wrong camera or something.

I think it's the moderator. He sounds really good though. If this was an audio only debate i'm sure Kerry would win. He sounds more confident.

bush is helping kerry right now... he is saying kerry has a significant difference in opinion, but a major stance on Bush's campaign is about making it look like kerry doesn't have an opinion at all

Bush is stalling like a mother fucker. You can tell Kerry is throwing him off and WHIPPIN that ass. Listent o all the LOOOONG pauses by Bush. Kerry pauses for a split second and speaks, and speaks well compared to the monkey.


And yes the lost credibility was VERY good and all Bush could come up with was to try and make it look like Kerry was babbling and just made himself look even stupider. Took 30 seconds in pauses and 3 words.

Did you see the debates in the 2000 election? It was apparent that Bush was great at debating then.

Because a lot of americans are illeterate, and a majority went to Blockbuster tonight to rent a stupid comedy or a fictional war movie...

All personal bias aside, I agree with Russert's summary. That there were no real knockouts (definately some points scored, but no TKO), BUT that now we have a pretty clear idea of what each would do/stand for on the subject of the debate (primarily IRAQ and the war on terror).

From that view, Kerry gained, as this was one of the big concerns on the part of a lot of people. I'm not pro Bush, but I knew where he stood. Now I feel I got where Kerry stands articulated clearly.

That's the biggest thing to come out of this, IMHO - two different views on a course of action, pretty clearly stated, which gives swing voters a choice and something to think about.

First of all, being prepared is 100% the most important thing when you are a leader, or hold any position with responsibility.

Second, Bush speaking directly is never a good thing for Republicans because he sounds like a fucktard! :)

Was a great night for Kerry pretty clearly from what I've seen.

If you didnt watch it on C-Span, you missed the priceless moments where bush finished his glass of water. Then he sipepd from a new glass.
Then he picked up the old glass and drank his backwash.
Then he picked up the empty glass *again* and put it back down and picked up the second glass he'd started 3 sips ago.

Clearly the glass was fully empty on his side :)
