Yeah...

But Kerry isn't explaining anything either... he says "I can do better", but how? They're both being pretty useless.

Tom_PMs 09-30-2004 06:54 PM

Jim Leher made up some damn good questions too.

Kerry has been very clear on how he can do better.

I've been impressed... and I'm glad that the candidates were not given questions beforehand.

Not really, it takes a vote away from 2 people you don't like, if nothing more, self-satisfaction:glugglug

It seems he's answering, and Bush is campaigning with is campaigns sound bytes.

Am I way off?

No, you´re right on - and I´m also trying to watch this with an open mind...

EviLSuperstaR 09-30-2004 07:30 PM

Bush of course had to talk to God for a second...

corvette 09-30-2004 07:43 PM

it seems that kerry was able to present some of his points and his advantages very clearly, but his strategy resulted in bush continously being, and looking, like he was defending himself

at times he looked like he just wanted to disappear and pretend that it did not happen...

That was a great debate, I can't believe how bad Kerry made Bush look. These debates are going to finish Bush off for good.

Bush was struggling on almost every question and looked even nervous at times, I've never seen him so shaken up in a debate. He had to ask for another 30 seconds almost every time Kerry spoke last, and most times he was rude about it. I don't think Kerry did it once. Plus Bush was either way over his time or way under it, horrible horrible performance from the President.

Kerry really nailed him on the armored hummers, kevlar vests and especially on the 16 permanent bases in Iraq, Bush of course didn't respond to that issue. How can Bush ever expect troops to stop being attacked if he's going to leave permanent bases in Iraq? GREAT to hear John Kerry say that he will not have any permanent bases. Anyone who can't see a huge difference between their two policies is blind.

Great moderator too, Jim Jehrer is great. :thumbsup
