You are wrong. A Sergeant is an E-5...I was a Sergeant First Class...E-7 which is a senior NCO. In addition the highest one can go as a Non Commissioned Officer is E-9. I was on my career track...if not ahead of it as far as rank is concerned. To be a Commissioned Officer (takes an act of Congress) one must have a Bachelor Degree and I went into the Army with an Associate Degree and did not attend University until my military career was ended in '92. So who is the dumb ass that does not know what the fuck he is talking about?

You've made it clear that you saw the army as a longterm career and did not leave voluntarily. Were you intending to remain a Sergeant First Class for another decade or two?

The real issue here, is why was groove banned, when someone who isnt even a webmaster (theking) is allowed to continue to do nothing more than instigate shit?

You cannot rise to the rank of a Commisioned Officer without a Bachelor Degree...in addition there is an age limit to attend OCS. I was 22 when I entered the Army and did not have a Bachelor Degree...and because of frequent deployments...I could not have earned one before being to old to enter OCS. I would not have remained an E-7 and would have reached E-9 and had the possibility of attaining the rank of Warrant Officer...which now has five grades W1-W5. So in answer to the question...no.

Funny, my best friend's husband Reuben just got back from Iraq a few months ago and the army is paying for him to go to school to get his Bachelor's so he can be promoted. He did not do anything special, just went and did what he was told, never even saw any real combat.

They never did that for yoou with all the great things you supposedly did?

My mentor...PF...encourged me to go beyond the AA I had but I was bored with school and did not mind being Enlisted...and do not regret enlisting without a BA. A professional soldier is a professional soldier no matter what rank he holds.

Brain dead...nothing really new about that...given the right multiple circumstances...but certainly is not applicable to anywhere close to everyone and will require additional contractual committments on his part. As I pointed out already...I would have been to old to attend OCS by the time I aquired an BA...unless I was attending school full time and this only happens...given the right multiple circumstances.
