There is 35 points of change, very strange there should be about 8 maybe ten at the most.

I have never seen anything like this,

This isn't a normal outage something very strange is going on.

Good luck guys and don;t panic we have all been there. :thumbsup

Down for couple hours now in Montréal :(

By the sounds of things, a few hosts got hit with an attack tonight ... that is the buzz around the net

Totally agree. Top notch! :thumbsup

Vegas Babe 09-29-2004 09:47 PM

My sites are all down too, but this is the first time for me that I've had my sites down more than a minute or two.

Mike Wesson ROCKS, I just moved my sites earlier this month from a shared to a dedicated box, and thanks to him, it went very smoothly.

I hope they get it fixed soon.:(

I was wondering if that was what's going on. A few other sites I've tried to hit tonight have been down, too. I can't reach http://www.whois.sc/

I see two other hosts that are down right now to.

Don't know if it's connected but ironic none the less.

Maybe they are resellers or something.

Corleone 09-29-2004 09:49 PM

down for me :(

b2kill 09-29-2004 09:50 PM

down for almost 6 hours here....

I have. Looks like someone may have fucked a route, or the upstream lost a blade.

brigitta 09-29-2004 10:50 PM

has anyone heard anything else from them yet? It's been down for about 7 hours here..........I'd like to know whether it's something they can fix soon

Jakke PNG 09-29-2004 10:52 PM

It really does suck.
Luckily our hosted galleries are online.. too bad the links on them don't work.:feels-hot

Well, shit happens. Hopefully it's sorted soon.

:(

every time...every single time: folks, nothing against phatservers at all, but never, ever, put all your eggs in one basket.

This is called business continuity. If you have all your shit on one host, no matter how good they are, sooner or later you will have problems.

And 'lose enough money to become your own hosting service'.

Links go down, network people phat finger shit...back hoes happen folks.

Business continuity and disaster recovery. You do backups right? Same thing, larger scale.

I would normally agree with you but in this case I have to say I wouldn't want to host at any other place! I've been with phatservers for 16+ monthes now and I don't think I can ever remember being down for over a hour and normally it is less then 15 min every month or two..

no other server I've been with for the price even comes close to this quality..

It seems to be running fine now :thumbsup

Trax 09-30-2004 03:04 AM

this downtime cost me a lot of money :(
glad everything seems to be working again now....

DesignerJunkies 09-30-2004 03:51 AM

Down??

I have used Phatservers for almost 5 years now..
The downtime is maybe 1% in all this years..

I think these guys ROCKS!
