Do you think most people still work 9-5?

I got in a bit of a heated discussion with a buddy who claimed the majority of the workforce is 9-5 ers.

I was saying that was not the case at all. ...then he started making up fake stats to make him look good. Telling me to shut up and think.

I could very well be wrong but what do you think.

Who would be correct in their assumption?

What work force are you talking about? Food Service? Office? Construction? Adult?

Little too vague in the question for me to be able to give my opinion.

It's a general question as a whole. Are there more 9-5 ers than say entrepenuers or people that work night shifts half shifts etc.

I think there are more shift workers than there are 9-5 workers...and, these days, many leave the office with work they take home with them....so...

On the Internet, I've found that it's hard to get in touch with people after a certain time on weekends...but not so much during the day.

I would say maybe....I would not hold to the exact hours 9-5 (banker hours or what my old boss use to call half days) but I would say majority works a 40 hr wrk week..or better yet only gets paid for a 40 hr work week

have to agree with those figures. Most mainstream companies work 9 to 5, construction is about right but varies depending on job... internet companies if your working like to squeeze out another hour by having you work 9 to 6, if your work from home?? then more than likely its 9 to 11 or midnight.

In the city more people work 9-5 beause of offices.

Outside the city

People work in factories and outside doing things like construction..

And that is almost always 7-3

There are way more 7-3 people then 9-5 people
