    British hostage Kenneth Bigley

    A grab taken from a video tape broadcast by Al-Jazeera television September 29, 2004, shows British hostage Kenneth Bigley inside
    a metal cage at an unknown location. Bigley appeared in a videotape aired on Wednesday, squatting in a metal cage, chained and dressed in an orange jumpsuit, pleading with Prime Minister Tony Blair to meet the demands of his captors in Iraq to release Iraqi women prisoners. Bigley said his captors, a group led by al Qaeda ally Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, did not want to kill him and accused Blair of ignoring his plight and 'lying,' the channel said.

                                              by communicating with them, you empower them so to speak...they now think they are having a conversation of sorts...by shutting them off, they have to go bigger and badder to get your attention

                                                      I understand this. But when it happened in a prison run by the US it was a horrible thing and the press had a field day with it. Because we are better, the people who did it will go to prison themselves. It was wrong, we corrected the problem, and people will be punished for it.

                                                      The terrorists do it and it's almost a minor thing.

                                                          which then forces them into a position that they can make mistakes. There are hundreds of small groups that interpret their religious text in different ways - they also threaten one another over these differences.

                                                          I still dont understand why they cant find the website owners and trace all this back??

                                                              Been just about the biggest story in the UK for the past week. What do they do? They can't bargin out in the open but thhis 'cause' has been taken up by just about everyone here and in Ireland (where his mother is from) that can possibly take it up.

                                                              Today his brother has come out and said that there is a message on some website that suggests he might be released. We can but hope.
