Looks like Damon is gone.
Steve Smith is already gone along with Augmon, and Greg Anthony.

Team will look much different next year..

Added Payton and Ruben Patterson today (secret), and Derek Anderson and steve kerr last week..

My agent called me tosy trying to get me to pay 8k for my season tickets this year..

May be tempting if this deal gets finalized and if there is assurance Sabonis comes back.

Yep Payton and Kemp again.
Kemp is a fat piece of shit as of late, lets hope he can step up..
a few weeks ago we let Greg Anthony go, and Detlef retired a few months ago...

Too bad, cause we would be the old Sonics team that Whitzit built back in the 90's!

Pippen, Payton, Rasheed, Derek Anderson, Kemp, all great players, just need mental toughness.. If they get it no one can beat us.

We are *still* recovering from the Bones time here locally. We knew we could get rid of Payton but boneprones actions have a lasting effect. Another year should erase all the havouc he created.

Too bad Portland is still going to get spanked by the Lakers next year. They need center. I think that Sabonis actualy plays better D on shak than anyone in the league. The only problem is that he is too old to keep up the level he needs to be at all game. So what happends to Mighty Mouse, and Strickland now?

The lakers will take the mouse

Mickey Mouse is gone to Seattle in the trade, and Stickland is a piece of shit, we waved him.

LA lost some veterans, and got a lazy piece of shit in Mitch Richmond.
Whos your power forward? Whos your point guard? Whos your shooting forward?

I agree.. We definately need a power forward and probably a small forward but honestly when you have aguably the two best players in the league they could prolly win it all with just Shak and Kobe along with me, you, and Lensman... lol

have you ssen shaq around town? He's gained a lot of weight, and has a belly.. Hes getting around the age where he has to be careful in the off season.. He may learn this for the first time this year.

Look for the press to be focusing on Shaq's weight this year.

Yeah I like Dallas.
I like Sacremento also and the Spurs.

The west is stacked again and it should be fun to watch.

Portland, Lakers, Spurs, Mavericks, Kings.

The sad thing is I'm going to be moving to Seattle either this fall or next spring at the latest so I probably won't be here to celebrate if they do win the Western Conference...however with digital technology and the magic of satellites I'm gonna do my best to order the season so I can watch it there.

BTW...being that Detlef used to be a Maverick he was one of my all time favs...he was pretty fly for a white guy...lol

Bone - The LAST thing your blazers need is another arrogant, smack talkin', self-engourged, has-been ex-superstar.

You're praise of Mr Bigmouth was almost as high as the aquistion of Mr Strickland last season.

And where did that take them? lol

Yeah the blazers pissed me off last year with all the head cases!!

I tour up my renewal of my season tickets when they came in the mail 2 months ago I was sooo pissed.

But when Seattle came to town last year, I was sooooo fucking impressed with Paytons game. The Sonics beat us by 30 I think.. I loved it! I had 8th row seats, and watching payton and his BS was sooo fucking funny, and unlike most trash talkers, Payton backs it up.. He is a showtime player. And a bad ass mother fucker.

I have a real cool story about Payton when he was in college. Its hard to believe but true.. Ill post it later tonight...

All this basketball talk is depressing. We don't have NBA. But the Rams are going all the way this year.

Also, last year we didnt have any smack talking arrogant assholes on our team.. That was the year before!

JR Rider was with the Lakers last year!
Mighty Mouse didnt say shit last year, and Kemp was too high to say anything bad.. I remember him even slapping the other teams players on the but after a good pass! I was wondering what he was on!! Now I know!

The only hot head was Rasheed.. But if you are familiar with him you know he only trash talks the officials not other players.

If only he used that energy and fire on the game and against his opponent rather than the little offical he'd be a good player.

He's kind of a whimp and a bully.. He only pics on people who cant fight back, like officials.. I never saw him once try to intimidate his opponent, only the official..

In my book, Rasheed is a Puss.
Payton is not.. There is no comparison between the two players. The problem with the Blazers last year was that they were all pussies. Rasheed was the leader.. Smith was another, he is gone, and we got anderson.. This should be good.. We need som attitude on our team and some toughness.

I think the Blazers are gonna be great this year.

This is my unbiased prediction of how the Pacific division will end this season:

1. Sacramento
2. Lakers
3. Portland

I like the Kings also.
A nice bet would be between the the Kings and Blazers for best regular season record.

Id take the Blazers to make it intesting.
But I always liked the Kings.. The GM and Coach and much of the office is all ex Blazer personel.

i don't know... the lakers are now dominating like the old bulls.

on another note, i'm glad philly pulled out at least one win. no team has yet to score 100% win percentage in the playoffs.

boneprone, do you know the detail of the deal? if it is Damon for Payton straight up, it is not a good deal for sonic. I think Spurs won't as good as everyone think, they still need a 2 and 3, they lost Anderson and no one to replace his quickness, who is their point guard now after they lost Avery Johnson

after the new zone rule apply this year, teams with good post up players wont' be as good as they can be. Teams with quickness and outside shooting will be better. Bucks, Mavs and maybe Portland will be better becuae of zone rule. I don't know how effective Shaq is going to be in the zone def. anyway, just my 2 cents

they also get vin baker? payton is good but baker is pain in the ass, no wonder Sonics give up Payton ... i think Sonics get the very good deal, they got 3 starter in Dale Davis , Damon, Wells,

they have their 5 starter set these 3 player with Lewis as small forward and Keith Booth as center ....

in new zone rule, kobe and Shaq won't be as good as last year, MJ is good but not good enough to win NBA Champ with a NCAA Wizard team. Toronto Raptor are the team to beat after they get the dream.
