I love Pink Floyd.

I didn't understand them a bit (due to supressive religious upbringing which included spinning records backwards...lol) until I spent a weekend in Tijauna partaking in some bad ass blotter bought off of Hippie Hill in Venice Beach.

Anyway, during my peak I wandered into this mercado at night time and they had a number of monitors all around playing the concert video from the Delicate Sound Of Thunder.

Since then I've been a big fan. I even have it in my will that Comfortably Numb (all time fav Pink song) be played at my funeral.

Exxxotica...are you a guy or a chick? I ask because I used to date this girl who called herself Exxxotica online (I'm sure it's not you) but everything I see your handle it makes me laugh because we could never figure out how to pronounce Exotica with three x's so we called this girl Triple Exotica.

Pink Floyd ruled. I have to remember to search for a copy of Live At Pompei.

I saw Roger Waters perform at Radio City Music Hall about a billion years ago. He had all the props (minus the Wall itself). Great fucking show.

That is an awesome picture!

OK, from left to right:

Atom Heart Mother
?????????????????
Dark Side Of The Moon
Wish You Were Here
The Wall
Animals

hmm, which album is the second from left representing???

I think my favourite song is "Comfortably Numb", but I basically think it all kicks ass from Meddle onwards. I wasn't too impressed with some of the earlier stuff, but there are so many wicked songs: Echoes, Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Pigs (three different ones), LOL, Momentary Lapse Of Reason was also a great album, with songs like Sorrow, and Learning To Fly.

Nobody mentioned David Gilmour, the best damn guitarist ever!

The picture between Atom Heart Mother and Darkside of the Moon is Relics. A re-release in 1968 of Floyd tunes with Syd Barrett not David Gilmore.

A momentary laps of reason is damn good.
But my favourite must be the double album The Wall. Some of the songs on that album are so incredibly good.

DSM - nothing much touches it except in its form, maybe Rumours as a complete work, but I'll wager that when we're all dead DSM will still be selling lotsa copies

We saw Roger Waters (who IS Pink Floyd, imho) at the Gorge in Washington. To start the show, he descreetly flew his touring plane in low behind the cliffs, and it seems to come out of nowhere just as the first note of "In the Flesh" played. It buzzed the crowd so low, I can't imagine they had authorization to do that. The crowd went wild, he could have stopped the show right there and everyone would have been happy.

That was the best stunt I've ever seen at a concert!

What a great pic.......

I think my favourite song is " Several Species of Small Furried Animals, Gathered Together in a Cave, Grooving With a Pict"

Not because the song was that great.... but because i could actually remember the name of the song.

- LIVE AT POMPEE is GREAT!! especially the video of it
My personal favorite has to be "Momentary Laps Of Reason", When I use to row in high school we'd listen to it before every race and visualize the entire race before it happened We were undefeated in the US for 3 years.... I got to see them play in Prague in 1992 (I think that's right) More people can fit in that stadium than I can count but I was able to walk right up to the front and talk the security guard into letting me and my friends in to the private area in front... Oh and the bon bons from Amsterdam didn't hurt either :P)

The only movie I own is The Wall.
and Roger Waters is not Pink Floyd, I love David Gilmour's solos and the way he plays, he's just out of this earth, I've been playing to their records since I began playing guitar

That picture is titled "Back Catalog" for anyone interested.

Pink Floyd rocks. There's just so much creativity and talent in each of their works. The lyrics, the music, the images, the fluidness...they're all timeless.

My favorite album has to be DSOTM as well. But each of their albums has it's own aura that fits into life somewhere.

Haha..Thanks Exxxotica, now I'm going to get lost in an internal mind trip for the next week or so as I explore all these albums again.

Astonomy Domine is pretty cool. Thats what they opened up with when I last saw them. Of course album-wise, Ummagumma is a solid selection of stuff that ranges from bizarre to some of the most mesmorizing live stuff they have ever done. No where else do audiences sit quiet throughout the show. And then applaude when the shows finished.

Excellent shit!
