It's terrific for chronic pain or after surgery, but there are so many people who get hooked to it, it's unbelievable. I swear, it's a worse problem than heroin. It's one of the rare drugs I wouldn't touch recreationally because of the sheer number of people I've seen who ended up hooked up on it. It isn't easy. My mom was addicted to MS Contin (similar but uses morphine) when she was terminal. She had to go off of it a couple of times and it was devestating for her. Odd that you brought this up because I was just looking for something in a drawer and it had about 200 of her MS Contin in it. I really should throw them away but I don't think the garbage is a good idea...would hate for an animal or something to come into some harm.
