Indeed, fine and dandy. Lots of high winds in ft lauderdale but nothing much beyond that. Some power down and trees blown over but all in all we made out fairly nioce

We are just east of Tampa. Looks like we're getting the worst of it now. The news says it still has 120 mph winds, and it damn sure feels like it.

They just downgraded it to a cat 1, but of course gusts are higher. I'm glad we're in a block home, but it makes me worry incessantly about my own home.

North of Fort Lauderdale here.
Wind was very violent, but I cannot see as much damage as for Frances. It's still pouring, but the wind has died down.

Here, too...the wind is just like a normal Florida storm one second, and then the next minute the trees are whipping around violently. There's a lizard taking shelter behind one of the screens, lol. Seems to me that if I lived in FL now, I'd have all the Booze, food and the like stocked up for the whole season! What good is warm beer though.

Yup, most people on the southeast part of FL aren't posting, so chances are they're out of power. It's 20m SE of my house right now...where we are now will catch the southern part of the eyewall, and it's a tropical storm now. Still really worried about my house though,
