(*for a week, I am too sure I'd lose on that deal.) ... and taboo, stuff your traffic up your ass, I don't need it, I don't want it. send it somewhere else !!! |

The one thing I'll say, with respect, is that if you create the biggest and most publicized domain sale of all time, and you go out of your way to let the world know about it, AND you reap the traffic rewards of it, AND all the inflation of the domain's value post-sale, you have to expect that people will ask questions. Publicity is a double-edged sword. I really think you're taking this thread the wrong way. People are interested in the site, because you and Rick asked them to be. You used the media to tell your story--now you have to deliver. If you made your money in private like I do, you'd have the right to tell them all to fuck off. Instead, you should be thrilled people give a shit enough to give you feedback. Use it and build a great site. One more thing: I tell the truth. It's in my blood. I also respect people who build things. I respect Rick's accomplishments, but I've never been a fan of him personally. I know already that you are different than him in tone and style, so you won't flip out when I give you the straight goods. Good luck with men.com.:thumbsup |

While you're focusing on the splinter in KRL's eye, take the tree out of your own eye. You are your own worst enemy. :2 cents: |

i am not a genious, if I was I'd still be working the SEs, although my 4 year old setup still generates 50k uniques SE traffic per day. I also understand that most domain guys treat domains like real estate, allthough real estate will still be real estate in 25 years, a domain may be a usless piece of cyberjunk. I am not using you for sig views. |

well, I think you misunderstood..:) |
Men.com is more worth than the 1.3milj $ KRL paid for it.
Think there are some people here that just don't understand that this is a longterm investment. And KRL will make more profit with using MEN.com as a longterm investment then selling it right awey for more than 1.3milj $. and the rest is just jealous they will ne see so much money on the bank account (so they will be never able to spend so much money to buy a domain name) Tb |

Sorry diz ! tb |
If you look at the internet bust, what was one of the main flaws. Putting tons and tons of money and overhead into business models that were advertiser based. Who survived, monster.com, ebay, and mostly sites that were tied to successful brick and morter.
Thats why I don't really envision an internet boom like the first one. |
benc,
i think men.com is going to be more then a site. men.com is going to be the online marketing tool of something bigger (magzine, television, ...) tb |

KRL,
It?s amazing what jealous people say on a message board in cyber space. Most of these people have never personally met you and are taking stabs at your character...amazing. I live by the treat people like you wanted to be treated mantra. You can plainly see that some individuals here have no to little social skills and don't know how to communicate properly with others. Keep your head up and ignore the idiots. Shuki |
2.8 million, final offer. cash
going once.... |
Talked to these guys and was going to buy advertising. Didnt believe the traffic numbers they were getting so backed out. Seems like this domain could be worth the 1.3 million dollars. Anything can make money with the right branding.
