I started a new fetish TGP not too long ago, and it's doing quite well so far. My post here is about gallery submitters and what they thing qualifies as fetish content. First, the problem: on my submission page I very clearly specify that I want true fetish content. In my view, that would be such things as bondage, mock torture, dominance/submissive stuff, goth and vampiristic stuff, fantasy horror and such. HOWEVER, it seems that 90% of the submissions thus far are all NICHES, not fetish content.

Niches are not fetish! I'm sure many of you know this already, but it's painfully obvious by my submissions manager that many submitters don't. I'm getting "teens posing", and lesbos with dildos, big tit babes, and even a lot of straight vanilla-type sex galleries.

NICHES ARE NOT FETISH!!! Get it? Just because a model is wearing nylons doesn't mean thats fetish either.

Okay, that's one little educational rant over. If I reach even one person who goes "Ohhhh, I had NO idea what a real fetish gallery was!! thanks CD" then I'm happy.

you wouldnt believe the galleries i get! I find gay galleries submitted to "Titman" and grody ugly woman submitted to HTB's go figure, I think some people dont take the time to try and figure it out, they just push the old submit button a little to quick.

HTB, thats because theres so many people using all the auto submit programs. They dont care, they just submit anything to as many tgp's as they can and hope to just get some traffic.. I think the good ol days are over, where people took there time to make and create and submit good quality galleries is over. Its like a numbers game now... It's getting really a pain to review galleries...

There is an upside, albeit a small one --

When I'm doing the reveiws for the fetish gallery post, it goes very quickly as compared to the time it takes to get through my BGN reviews. Why? Because the good news is that most submitters will describe their gallery somewhat accurately. When I see "teen strips" or "wife caught screwing neighbor" etc etc, I just hit the ol' delete key without looking at the submission at all. Saves time

Does that sound mean? Well, I probably wouldn't have to do that if submitters would take the time to read a submission page from time to time.

So far, out of 15-20 submissions per day, I end up with about 2 or 3 good fetish galleries. The only thing keeping things freshly stocked there is my OTHER TGP. It gets about 90 submits per day right now, and I can usually find 5 or 6 more good fetish galleries in there. Jeez, I'll even post a nice midget sex series, or foot sex stuff. It's pretty tame, but my own fetish galleries get about 150 - 200 per day on that site right now. It's not a lot, but it's something. The fetish crowd seems to be easy to please, I'm at 1:340 right now for "fetish Hell" heh heh

Some webmasters think that "gay" or "lesbian" or "bisexual" galleries are fetish. They aren't. Again, those are niche's (as the Watcher just stated, thanks man)

Niche does NOT = fetish.

Softcore = simple nudity

Fetish = kinky activity of a compulsive nature. Galleries focusing on feet and the sexual use thereof. There are more true fetishes than I care to name, but galleries showing the busy end of a dildo cam are classed as hardcore in my view. (heh heh)

CDSmith, you're compltely wrong here. Fetish is simply sexual attachment to anything besides the sexual parts of the body. So nylon is a fetish for some people and big tits for others. Dildos may also be a fetish and so would be teens. On the other hand, bondage may not be a fetish for many people, and so would not be vampirish stuff. So you see, its not the gallery posters that are at fault but you. You have started a category so big with fetish that everyting fits in. You should change the category to Bondage/BDSM/Horror and then complain. And start listing all my teen galleries I submitted as fetish

Okay, right there you start out contradicting yourself. Last time I checked, tits ARE a sexual part of the body (big or small).

The bolded part is my guideline, so what's yours? I'll add to the true definition (for the purposes of running a website) by saying that some fetish surfers are admittedly just curious, but the vast majority of them are NOT looking for mainstream porn such as teens, amateurs, amateur teens, centerfolds, or teen amateur centerfolds!! No, they are mostly looking for dark nasty evil stuff, kinky wierd bizarre stuff, wild horrifying fantasy stuff.

And, the ultimate bottom line is the old song and dance of the TGP-master, that being "it's MY site and I'll decide who and what get's listed", but rest assured when I decide to list a gallery I always keep the best interest of my surfers at heart. I understand what they are coming to my site to see, and I give it to them in sample galleries, and I promote some fetish sponsors. If I were to flood my "dark fetish tgp" with "vanilla-sex" stuff, would I get any returning fetish traffic? Fetish sponsor signups? Not likely.

And I'm pretty clear to you - the webmaster - about what sort of galleries I want, if you'd only taken the time to look and read my rules on the submit page. You'd have saved yourself the time it took to submit teens.

Now, open your image editor and edit each and every teen pic you have so that each girl is getting banged by a giant cartoon penis, or you can have them strangling each other, why not paint in ropes around their wrists and ankles?,... and blindfold a few of them and I'll list them all instantly

For that thesis you almost deserve a PhD in Fetish, but you still stand completely wrong. I can have a fetish for teen girls, and I can have a fetish for big tits. Sexual fixation on tits is not fetish, but sexual fixation on big tits certainly is. So the person with the big tits fetish might not be so aroused by the sight of bare normal sized tits than by the sight of covered big tits. Your boldened definition states exactly what I'm trying to state, so you should be completely agreeing with me. 'An object or Bodily apart' it says. I'm confusing nothing. Again, you are restating what I've already attempted to clarify. I'll try again. Goth, horror, and bondage/s&m-whateverism, althought NOT body parts or objects by and large (bondage does imply the use of objects such as ropes, torture implies the use of whips, chains etc, but I digresss....) rather they are IDEAS, or mindsets if you will. Ideas and mindsets can be considered by some as intangible objects, no? If so, then they can be definitely included as fetishes, because many many people have an irresistable compulsion to role-play in those genres while having sex.

Teen is a niche at best, vanilla softcore or vanilla sex at worst. I'm giving a wide berth as to what I'll show on that "DARK FETISH" site to my D-A-R-K F-E-T-I-S-H surfers, everything kinky from feet to extreme horror, and yes, I do post the odd "freaky insertions" gallery too, but that's it.

A "nice couple having sex by the pool" doesn't qualify, that belongs on a tgp that posts hardcore, not fetish.
