Anyone going to see Shaun of the Dead?

92% at rottentomatoes.com.

Sounds good to me. (Although I've never seen a zombie movie I didn't like.)

7.9 at MovieDatabase; that's pretty impressive for a film that is both a comedy AND has zombies in it.

on the horror chat boards people seem to love this movie too, so that helps cement it as a "must see" for me

I think it looks hysterical! I remember seeing Dawn of the Dead when it came out in 1978 and and loving it

Maybe it's out already in the UK or something on DVD... it was released there earlier from what I've heard.

I've got it too, good flick. I think that when it was released in the UK it did so well review wise that they decided to bring it over here and give it a run.

Unusual I know for us to get something first even if it is a British film or at least uses British actors and is centered on a pub so near enough

Uh yeah he does have it. It was released on the warez groups many moons ago. A PAL region 3 or 4 version DVD-R that plays on just about any region free player (like my samsung at home )

The original version from a shop is much better than crap quality warez stuff

Cant say I agree with this completely. The PAL version that was out 9/4 had the extras stripped out but the video was untouched and it carried the same sound untouched.

The NTSC internal that was out on the scene in the middle of the month was 7 pass CCE with a bitrate of 5200. At 5200 you would be hard pressed to see a difference on a 60" HDTV between the dvd-9 retail and the dvd-5 version.

Of course on the extras you are right, cant compare zero extras versus all extras. I usually just watch the movie though.
