				 | Pass the word among your friends that some fool broke into your house but only stole 2 grand, tell them you had 8 grand hidden in a pouch right under the 2 grand they stole.. Act lke your super happy that they didnt take all your money, and make sure to hammer home the idea of how stupid the guy must have been to leave the 8,000 in cash right there and only take the 2,000. Then make like your going out to the movies or something at a strange time that most people wont be ready , invite all your friends along.. If it happens that one of your friends is the bad guy he most likely will find a reason to avoid the theatre and instead rob your house.. Either film your house or have it watched...

				 | Sorry to hear you got robbed. That sucks. It's one of the worst feelings. On a side note no offence but saving up to build your dream car, and having only $700 in your bank account? Dude take some advice, forget about the car and start saving some money for yourself. Putting all your money into a car is not only stupid it's pathetic. |

				 | I'm not trashing his dreams. I'm being realistic. Just like in "Blow"... George you've got the wrong dream. I'm just trying to enlighten the guy. He's 18, making money. His goal should be to be able to afford the car and having it be only x% of his total savings. That way he has a car and he has money. If not the poor kid is going to pour all his money into a car that he can't afford and then as soon as something happens, bye bye car. He's got a chance to start building a good financial base at a very young age. Instead he's going down a path that will probably end up with him living in debt throughout his 20s (at least). |

i jumped too quick last post... anyways... ok.. for starts, i completly own my car, paid off and all, so its not a matter of not affording it because the only money that goes into it is already earned, i dont use creditcards so im not in any debt. as for planning for my future, the car is a temp thing, i have another 7grand and the car will be finished for me to enjoy then sell at a profit (grand spendings would add up to around 20K, and the car value to people would easily reach 25K, so there is a profit in end. also i do have alot of bonds, and plan on investing into more.. right now in life, i am happy, i always have money and i can finally afford to build my dream into a real deal. and its not like however long i was saving for this project, i wasnt out there spending more money, i was giving up vacations with friends and alot of shit just to not spend the extra $300 on something that wont last... i think ahead and im sure i will be fine with money. sorry for the outburst last post | |

				 | What the fuck are you doing with that kind of money at home? Stick it in your bank! If you need to have that type of cash around, buy a safe, have it built in and stick it in that. You can buy a safe for a couple of hundred, get a bricklayer for another 150 and then your money is safe. When I was a youngster I had all my scuba gear stolen out of my car. I left it in there overnight, because we were up at 5 am to get the early slack water on a wreck. Came out to find the car windscreen had been cut out and $6000 worth of gear missing. Never again have I made a mistake like that. Never got the gear back, and too young to realise I needed insurance. Jeff you will learn fast about the realities of life. |
