between 15-20 industry folks meet up about once a month to kick back cocktails and discuss biz, we usually do either Whiskey Blue inside the W, or the Signature Lounge, ill make a post a couple days before the next one if you guys are interested

just a suggestion, try and get a place close to a decent hotel. if i go there i will be staying at a hotel if im drinking. i'm sure some other people will want to stay in a hotel too.

If it's a webmaster event why do you care about letting chicks in free? And why should others have to cover them? And better yet, I've seen the chicks you consider hot, no way would I be shelling out money for their drinks.

well I guess a webmaster event doesn't have to have hot young 21-24 year old chicks there.

the only places in chicago that will give you an open bar for 25$ would be a total shithole. bump up the quality and im sure more people will attend. If I'm going to go and mingle with folks I can possibly do future business with, I would prefer a classy environment, but that's just me, maybe others agree.

that's not really true, its not open bar for 25, its like all the beer and well drinks you can drink for 3 hours, and a discount on other drinks, and there's # requirement of people to actually get the place.

or there's places that just charge normal prices but you pay them just to rent the place. I'm looking into stuff, and believe me, I don't go to shitholes.
