If you are still using IE, you are getting old. -
Wont ring the death of IE but it is a very good marketing strategy.
Get more money, get people off of old OSes which arent as stable and have them upgrade to the newest version of IE, sounds pretty good.
M$ gets more money in their pockets and alot of users will find XP much more stable and over all better than their previous version of windows so they will also be happy, minus the $99 upgrade fee.

IE won't ever die....to get IE to go away you would have to train 50% of the IE using population how to actually use a computer....and that ain't gunna happen

I used Firefox for a couple weeks and switched to Opera. Main thing that sucks in Firefox is when you go back it reloads the page. I like Opera much better.

You obviously don't know what is out there. You can use the IE core and have an enhanced browser that runs on IE core. But IE itself simply sucks now.Originally posted by JSA Matt

now if we can just get more people to move off of the OS and onto linux desktops that'd be groovey...
