Which program did you lose it for? I do not believe it is stored in the registry - at least not in unencrypted form.

Do you still have the stars (assuming you ever did) - or is it totally gone?

I do not believe it will be on your computer - possibly in your cache, but I doubt it - and even then it will most likely be encrypted. I am not sure what you are looking at, but you probably have to view it in binary mode - you can get textpad - at textpad.com (which is great anyway).

I am 95% sure it will not be there.

If you are looking in the registry - you should use regedit )already on your computer.

Sorry I couldn't be more help - for most programs, there is somewhat to get it - but for sites - I don't think you usually can.

back orifice is not a good program snow -- it lets someone else control your computer --

If you still have the ***** up where the passwords are, you can get Snadboy's Revelation (just do a search and cnet or tucows will pop up with the free download) and it will decode the ***

Otherwise not really sure what to tell you --

Use Windows Explorer, under the windows directory is another called cookies. Look thru those for hotmail etc sites and open then cookies with notepad. Most passwords that are stored with you are in those and not encrypted. But they could be deleted or overwritten, timed out and auto-deleted etc. Good luck! You can find them alot of the time tho. Just takes some time since you will prob have a couple thousand cookies. lol

Most of the passwords in a windoze machine are stored in a .pwl file, which is encripted, there are programs around to decript it quite well.

Now, the hotmail and yahoo passwords? those are not there, and they are not encripted directly, the little **** you see is just to cover the letters from someone looking over your shoulder, the real encription might never take place, or, in the case of hotmail and yahoo, what's encripted is the browser session, using a https:// .

Anyway, your best bet is the cookies folder, so, start fishing and good luck.

Snow, I've got a program that's a lot easier than back orifice, it's Hard Drive Killer Pro 4.0

For 30 gig run it for about 30 seconds.

For each 10 gig add 10 seconds.

You want ever have to worry about those passwords again
