For what others were asking before I believe gspotmoney is also main with ibill.

I spoke to a "friend" there as well and he said the injunction has not been lifted and that they will make an official statement soon.

I do not process with ibill and am not a die hard ibill supporter, but I do feel they are able to pull out of this and make something happen.

Johny Traffic 09-22-2004 12:08 PM

Im a little confused, are they no longer to process as from now? Or as from a set date in the near future?

If a processor can't charge surfers though, that doesn't really help affiliates or XPays. Good thing you added paycom.

Unconfirmed just grabbed from the Key Statistics, but this is not promissing. Insiders don't hold a huge stack in the outcome of the company and the volume is garbage. Not to mention the all stock buy of iBill from Penthouse.

Wow.

On the old version of GSpotmoney we processed purely with iBill, with the newer PPS and Rev split version using NATs software we break up the processing between CCBill and IBill. NATs let's us switch primary processors on the fly, so everything at GSpotmoney should be running correctly.

I'll let you know when I give a fuck about you, your opinions, or your company.

OK , My first post, but thought it was important.

I talked to my Ibill rep this morning in detail.

He said that if they do not get the injunction, that they would turn the system over to Stand In billing and that they already have an agreement with the new bank to run a Large batch job once this is up. He also said that this should not take to long as they have over 30 people working on getting this new system up and running ASAP.

* PS. This is only what I was told from them..........

The paper work alone will take days for something this large assuming the paper work only started today or a few days ago.

It's not like multi-million dollar processors haven't gone under before for one reason or another. I can recall at least 5 in the past year and a half. Why didn't they move under a different name, get a new account, start all over again? Because it's not that easy.

I can't believe that a major billing company like ibill would not have a contingency plan for something like this. If they didn't, that is inexcusable.

In theory this could be right.... standin processing has happen a few times in the past also when network problems etc. occured.

I cross my fingers (and switch to CCbill as primary in the mean time)

That's to be expected. However I imagine First Data will be holding money longer than usual and if the stock takes a dive it will hurt the cashflow even more. A stock being on hold isn't some minor issue.

Good luck to you and everyone else though. Hopefully it will all blow over as smoothly as possible but it's rather frightening what could happen.

The main worry is not new transactions, but old rebills

PornGeneral 09-22-2004 12:33 PM

I am glad to hear this, but the main concern is not with the operation its with the companies ability to pay its bills and remain.

Does Care Concepts have the ability and finacial backing to under take this?

A stock being halted just doesn't happen when you are switching processors.

I realize this, my point was that transactions have been split since march when running through our new affiliate script and that affiliates currently sending traffic through this script shouldn't be concerned as their transactions are being processed with ccbill.

Anybody on here using ibill - should really go into there CMI and down load all of ther active and past users emails , back up your password list and make screen captures of your current schedualed rebills - and any finacial information that you may need...

Also if they do fail, some other companies are offering that they run the recures from Ibill , if we can get them........

Rather, religious right :BangBang:

Why would First Data toss out 800,000 a day in processing?

Doesn't make sense unless some republican is behind it.

This is the same as telling somebody: "You can't fire me because I quit."

I made the decision not to do business with you a long time ago. Not because you did anything wrong...Just because I was not interested in having you as a client. It was nothing personal, but your attack was.

Thank you for the professional courtesy of that. [/sarcasm]

The company still has some value. It all comes down to the quality of their management. A super star CEO could pull out of it.

There is a brief comment by one of their lawyers in the AVN article.

Apart from that a couple of people have reported what they were told by their iBill reps and that's it.

I do too. It seems many people are celebrating this. I don't see this as Ibill being a bad company. The are back full force in the adult space, trying to try new technologies, and just because some people claimed they would go out of business last year, they are jumping for joy so they can say I told you so. If Ibill goes, then who's next. Are you sure your bank won't do the same type of thing?
