Actually at this point of the campaign in 2000, Gore had a double digit lead. So big leads CAN and DO disappear.

I gotta say, I don't much trust anything either candidate says about themselves or their opponent....

The positive and negitive spin they use to make their points is incredible! It isn't about true facts, it's all about positioning select pieces of the facts into our minds to make their point. ( Marketing at it's finest! )

There's always more to a yes/no vote than what's on the surface... the thing here is to look at all the facts, not just what you're being spoon fed, and make your OWN judgements.

kerry's boring, people who are voting for him dont even like him, he has no base, the only base he has is people voting against bush, which happens to be him.... how can you say you think hes going to win like that? lol, he has to connect to the people.

Say what you will about him, but all Cheap Shots aside, Bush connects with voters in a way that Kerry has yet to show us...Maybe if he showed a little HUMAN LIFE in those speeches he would get a surge...But saying he will win now is outright premature, considering the Bush lead in nearly every national poll. I think we would all agree, on both sides, that Kerry has yet to break out and really make his mark with the voters, dont you agree o that at least?

I am not impressed with either of them.

They need to make a rule.

No billionaires allowed to run for president.

You got Bush who was born into a billion dollars and Kerry who married into it.

              Both are out of touch

I hope for the sake of this country and our relations with our countries and the other million reasons that Kerry does win.

This election is a referendum on the President, as is any election with an incumbent. Bush is doing an amazing job keeping the spotlight off his record and on half assed attacks against Kerry.

I still think Bush is going to loose. When it comes down to it, Americans vote on the economy. Bush is going down for the exact same reason his dad did. If he were doing a great job with the war I'd be concerned, but all news is bad news for Bush these days, he can't hide behind attacks against Kerry forever. The debates are going to do a number on Bush as well, although Cheney is probably going to chew up Edwards.

Really? How shitty have you been doing lately? This is a joke, I love how rich adult webmasters in here support Kerry. When Kerry claims every one of us in here are RICH AS HELL, which means we're going to have our taxes skyrocket, how can you logically think like that?

If what you said was true, and the American people this time around are voting on economy, then I guess they're going to have to vote Bush. National unemployment percent is lower than it was when Clinton was releected in '96.. Go look it up

Stop responding to me please kid, your posts are worthless. If you can't figure out why rich adult webmasters support Kerry, that's your problem. If you think the economy is strong or "turning the corner", that's your problem. If you fail to realize that unemployment has skyrocketed under Bush, that's your problem. I'm not here to teach you shit you should be able to understand on your own. For the love of God I hope you're not old enough to vote.

From the newsbit we get up here, the impression is that bush will, sadly enough.

Bush's base are ignorant evangelical christians who say things like 'Bushs "moral values" will fix the economy'. They honestly believe that everything can just be prayed for and all will be ok; no matter how incompetent the leaderships is, because afterall it's really god who's in charge. It's frightening and insane. Bushs base are people who intentionally decide to ignore and/or oppose science, who wish to legislate bigotry, who would turn the USA into a facist theocracy with policy coming straight from the puplit. Bible class in school, 10 commandments on the wall, teaching creationism instead of evolution, jail time for 'sins' like distributing pornography... Tax money going to churches; Bush has already given over a BILLION of our tax dollars to 'Jesus' (even after Congress declined his bill, he just made an executive order). No wonder these fanatics support him.

Bush connects with undereducated guillible idiots who are sold by a smile and a prayer. I couldn't care less about how warm and fuzzy the president acts or what he looks like. Infact, I want a cool, calm, rational BORING President who is not governed by mood swings or delusions of being appointed by god. The person in charge of the worlds most powerful military, of our nuclear weapons, of our safety, should be the least likely to overreact or do something stupid. (like attack the wrong country)

Kerry is a plain politican with all the usual failings, subject to the liabilities of his profession, and if this election were between two stock politicans I wouldn't care who won or if they had an (R) or a (D) after their name. But this election is between a sane person and a lunatic.
