It's popular, they pay, they cover pretty much all niches... but they entrap people so once they click a banner there's no way they can ever click 'back' to where they came from.

I know you're a busy guy, but why not make a page with "Hun pre-aproved" sponsors? I'm pretty sure many people would sign up below you and you'd probably make more money. I agree with that entrapment rule, pissing your surfers off won't get you far. Anyway, just my 2 cents.

How about opening the maxcash link in a new window? (I forgot if that's allowed by maxcash, probably is..)
That way surfers will still have the gallery window opened = they'll be able to return to the yellow pages, and they will see the sponsor. I believe that the hun's scripts could check if there is a target tag at the link code, so, if "_blank" exists, the gallery is ok, if not, it's not

What about the galleries that have been submitted without error some time before maxcash was banned? Do I have to change the sponsor on those galleries? Or can I link those banners to an internal page with a full page ad?

If you change 'em before the bot finds 'em you should be fine. Otherwise you'll most likely get the decline e-mail after which you can resubmit...

One question Hun, if I have recieved email that you accepted my gallery, is it ok to change my sponor/banner, before it's listed as long as it's not one of your banned sponsors?

Make that two questions. Same situation, but say it's already listed?

Thanks!

Drum, no problem...

Jon... to be honest I really can't stand pages that entrap people. There's PEOPLE surfing on the web, and they need to be treated as such. Tricking 'em and confusing 'em is treating 'em like walking wallets. Fine with me, but I don't want to support anything like it...

I agree 100% with The Hun. And, unless Maxcash has changed their ways, they bleed some traffic from their own webmasters to boot. See that entrance blur that pops up?
Check the link codes on those sponsors...last I checked, 12 had my referrer ID and 16 had their own codes.

I'm all for everyone making money, but not on traffic I worked hard to send them. Let them find their own traffic to sell.

you are right Lude, webmasters work hard to send them traffic and at the end they have half possibilities to take the signups...it's not fair. Popup consoles trick both surfers and webmasters

Go to a gallery. Click the banner. Let it load. Then try to click 'back'. Will not work. I closed at least 3 consoles. Maybe maxcash read this thread and change things though, I don't know.

Um Hun I think you need to double-check your numbers cause Maxcash has only had 2 consoles forever.

And really really BAD choice of words saying maxcash shaves on console hits. I understand what really meant but using the word "shave" is in really really poor poor taste. You should know better than just throw out a negative word like shave. It's something I would expect from a small time newbie that doesn?t know who the big trustworthy sponsors are.

Maxcash is one of the LARGEST top trustworthy sponsors and DO NOT SHAVE HITS!

Also I don't see what the big deal is that Maxcash is disabling the back button. Once we send a surfer to a sponsor they should have every right to do want they want to get the surfer to signup up (as long as its ethical and not illegal). Instead of not allowing Maxcash ads why not just say that maxcash ads need to pop up the link in a new window. This way the surfer can just close it and still see your site.

Also LudeDude what's the big deal that not EVERY ad on there console carries your code? I mean Maxcash is the highest pay out in the industry. How do u think they can afford such high payouts? It's because they can offset the high costs with making some of there own sales. If u look at all other pay sites they also have multiple consoles that don?t' carry your code everywhere.

Oh well everyone has there own opinion and I just wanted to let mine know. Now I?m going to get back to building sites with MAXCASH ads and make MO? Money, hehe J)

Well said Meloman.

Btw, the disabling of the back button was simply a short test designed to improve conversions for our webmasters. Anyways, the test is over, and we will be reverting back to NON-disbabled back buttons in about 3 hours.

We're always tweaking over here...
Have a nice day.

Simply put, "Meloman," it's fucking horseshit. I don't care who's payouts are highest etc. if it means my surfers get sent there and I get fucked.

ARS pops shit up all over the place, and while I abhor that kind of shit, it's MY code in the consoles. Any sponsor that leaks my traffic isn't a sponsor I want to do business with. Most of the main programs no longer play that kind of half-assed shit, hidden behind the guise of "we have the highest payouts" because they know the webmasters get pissed and that's not good for business. Do whatever you have to do to get the sign-up, fine, but pay me on the traffic I send you or I won't send you any.

My measly 100K unique a day may not mean shit to Maxcash overall, but it means shit to me cause it's my business. I worked hard to get the traffic and I'll be damned if I'll let someone shave it off of me.

The worst part of Maxcash's little game is they do it on an entrance console, not even a goddam exit pop-up. Yes, I know it's a "blur" but it's on the entrance...

Think u better double check those ARS consoles. There's actually stuff on there WITHOUT our codes :-)

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I'll personally take my "horseshit" opinion and go make MO Money :-)

Take Care :-)
