4,000 athletes from 140 countries will compete in 19 paralympic sports. These atheletes have reached a great level of performance and if you have a chance to watch some of their games on tv you'll see what I mean.

I have an old friend named Andreas that didn't qualify to participate in the games, but he was among those that carried the the paralympic flame. It happened to see him on tv and you could see from his smile it was his happiest day in life. That exactly was what his mother told us by phone today.

Any info on what are the powerlifting records? I heard that some atheletes do on less than 11sec the 100m distance!!

Can you fake a mental/physical problem just to weasel your way in the games? I wouldn't mind adding a paralympic medal to my resume.
