Google SEO Question

I've been reading a lot about Google optimization in the last few days, but I'm having a hard time figuring out this particular issue.

Google obviously loves incoming links, but how much do tracking scripts affect the value?

In other words, having a traffic exchange or affiliate program where the incoming links don't point directly to the home page (which I'm trying to gain PR). The tracking url obviously ends up directing the user to the homepage eventually, but do I lose out on the added PR value?

If so, is there any way to format the tracking script so Google will count it as an incoming link properly?

i.e. http://www.mysite.com/incoming.php?i...site.com/home/

I appreciate any help on this subject...

Thanks,
Rick

Use mod rewrite to make / out of the ? links and everything is ok.Otherwise google can't spider them.

Interesting tip. Thanks for the reply.

So am I to assume that having the link appear as so:
mysite.com/incoming.php/45/ (is this correct?)

If that url then auto-refreshed to:
mysite.com/home.html

Doing it this way, would home.html still get credit for the external incoming link?

I really appeciate the help.
