If you're referring to Isprime.com, it seems that their router has gone down (again). There is no backbone problem as you can see if you do a traceroute on isprime.com (or your IP).

I'm sure they are aware of the problem. Sending e-mails to them won't help as their site's down too

Yeah, I just noticed - this is the third time this month. I was upset that my last host had 99.82 uptime.

I am going to need to switch - this is ridiculous. Anyone have any suggestions to other hosts that have guarantees in writing? ISPrime does, but I need someone that will actually not go down three times (the first time they were not even aware of it) in three weeks. Guarantee in writing required. And what is required an what do I get?

Yeah, this is crap.

I like ISPrime, the tech support is the friendliest bunch out there, not too mention helpful.

Anyone have any dealings with LikeWhao?

dude chill out. The east coast is fucked up due to some wild fires burning up the optical fibers. It's not your ISP's fault.

could be part of the problem!

There is a train derailment in Baltimore thats fucking up the net.

From Washington Post

------------------
"And then he goes after the rest of the mob. He kills their kids. He kills their wives. He kills their parents and their parents' friends. He burns down the houses they live in and the stores the work in. He kills people that owe them money. And like that... he's gone. Underground. Nobody's ever seen him since. He becomes a myth. A spook story that criminals tell their kids at night. 'Rat on your pop, and Keyser Soze will get ya.'"

Uhhh,

I have had webhosting for 4+ years now, and never had I had this much downtime. How many fires/train derailments have their been?

Why has it taken out the ability to surf my site, but not ping it.

It is back up now.

I am a very laid back person, I am understanding. I do not think this is at all reasonable...

And yes, I think it is their fault - or they do not have enough redundancy. Did all of newyork really go down? The traffic report page I checked showed nothing unusual.

If this is all a strange coincidence, then fine. They have been very nice on the phone. It is nothing personal, just business. Are my expectations really that unreasonable?

What type of uptime do you expect?

I got 99.89 since Nov 14 on the site I have the longest statistics. This is less than ten hours a year. I have three downtime periods (one they did not even know about - but to their credit fixed very quickly) in the last 10 days.

There is no excuse for them not knowing. Freaking interseer knew and paged me. Why didn't they.

I am not trying to rag on them. I just think my displeasure is not unreasonable.

I have been very happy with their support and response and will give them the benfit of the doubt for the meantime, but if this happens again this month - I will need to go shopping.

Guys,

Because of last weeks problems with few major back bones in NYC we have decided to bring more back up lines to ISPrime to prevent future downtime. We have added another router for redundancy to avoid any future downtime or backbone problems, we are now powered by 6 mb/s network that is stronger and more reliable then ever.

We apologize for unscheduled maintenance and would like to continue providing great support and hosting home for adult industry's biggest sites.

--Yours Truly ISPrime
