Whenever I dealt with factory computers it was always better to just get rid of all the factory installed software when there was an issue and just start with a fresh install of an OS that recognizes the hardware in the computer. If it did not take care of onboard I would just go buy new cards. All of those disney and aol programs, as well as the little things you have to sign up to use were useless and only ate up hard drive space anyway.

yeah i did that with my Dell Laptop they preinstalled all that crap on it when i go tit
The dell recovery disk should reformat and then install all it's stuff as if it came new. I personally don't use dell's recovery cd's but format it and use fresh stuff.
