    if I acquire some domains, and just want to forward traffic, what do you suggest

    Any recommendations on the best registrar to simply forward traffic from one domain based at that registrar to the url of my choice?

    Do they all do this equally well/fast?

          for forwading domains i use godaddy, only around $8 with free forwarding.

              I agree, its nice to have the stats behind the traffic instead of letting a registrar keep that data.

                  I was set on what to do but I can be a stats junkie too so now I'll reconsider :P

                      I've been using this feature with Dotster. Worked fine.
                      I don't use ICQ anymore.

                          most registrants allow you to use their DNS and forward the domain to the link of your choice. You can track traffic this way too.
