I think you may have given your poor mouth a tad too much of a workout the first couple of days..so all they need now really is some rest. Stick to some liquids or easily swallowed food & they'll be much better in 24 hours or so.

they gave me vicodin, but I don't want to take it because it's the 5th day already and I need to be coherent and able to function because I live all by myself and need to drive myself around... I don't want to be too dependent on drugs so I just take Advil liquid gels...
I bought a ton of canned soup yesterday so guess that's all I'll be eating...

its not that bad, 1-2 days of bad pain which u can take vicodin for, afterwards its smooth sailing

You'll learn to like tomato soup and oatmeal for a couple of weeks :)

I went in, they put the gas mask thing on my face. next thing I knew I was opening my eyes and there was some blood on me and on the dentist. It was all done and I slept through it.

My brother drove me home and I went to bed.
I woke up and it was a little sore and the dentist said to be careful of the stitches.

no pain, just soreness. a week later I think I swallowed my stitches and it was all over.

I'm sure you'll find something to take your mind off the pain.

That's the most horrible pain I've ever experienced. Granted, my piece of shit dentist only gave me codeine... If you can get some heavy-duty painkillers, it shouldn't be too bad.

i only have 1 impacted wisdom tooth and the fucker wanted to yank them all, i said ill call you when it hurts...

Well in 2 days I'm getting my wisdom teeth pulled out. I further learned that only 1 of em is SLIGHTLY impacted and the rest are kinda out but don't have enough room to come all the way out. I'll post an update the day I come home when I get em pulled!

They had me soooo doped up I cant remember that week at all....

Alright I rested took a perk, and some other pills. It's really not so bad. MOst of the numbness is gone and I can basically deal with the swollen feeling in my mouth. I'm doin pretty good! It's actually pretty funny cause all I remember after they put the IV in my is the guy telling me all I'm gonna remember is talking to him, they gave me some big ass black block to hold my mouth open, next thing I know I'm stumblin in my house LOL

Alright well it's night now. Tired as hell. All I ate today was Jello and shit. My teeth aren't feeling too bad. I took Oxycodone which is a cool pain killer. Feels good too!

After 2 weeks you will get these nasty holes in your mouth where food gets stuck in, and you have to suck all the food out and rinse it... it is really disgusting...

It's been 2 weeks and my jaw is still a bit stiff...
It's still hard for me to open my mouth all the way

So what did they do exactly?

I've had one wisdom pulled at the dentist which didn't hurt at all (surprisingly) but there are a couple hiding under my gums. One is growing on an angle so it will probably need surgery to remove.

They gave me this panaramic X-Ray. Showed it to me that 2 of my wisdom teeth were slightly impacted, and the others were erupted. Anyway, I sit down in the chair, the guy tells me some stuff about what they're doing and I'm gonna be in a "Twilight Sleep". Anyway they give me this IV, and then give me this unconfortable block to hold my mouth open. The next thing I know, I'm stumbling around my house with bloody gause in my mouth! Nothing much made sense until after I woke up from a rest in my house. Twilight Sleep is cool as hell, it's like an instant time warp! I swear I do not know the transition where I was knocked out to when I regained consiousness. I read up on "Twilight Sleep" and found it's part of a general anesthetic that gives you AMNESIA!!! Pretty cool. Right now I took 2 Oxycodones. THEY FUCKIN ROCK and make me feel so good. So far, I have to say this experience is much less scary than I thought it would be. I'll post back as the days progress....

I had a similar experience when I had some oral surgery, I took some soluble aspirin (instant high, like 5 seconds after I swallowed it), got the drip connected up, then suddenly I'm in a bed asking the doc if they're starting soon. He said yeah, it's all finished! :1orglaugh

Day 2!! 24 Hours since surgury. NO PAIN in my mouth. All I feel is a little pressure on one side. I ate scrmbled eggs today!! The best fuckin eggs I've had in my life! So far everything is all good. Getting your wisdom teeth taken out at least in my case is not nearly as bad as I would have imagined it. Good luck to those who are gonna have it done!

I doesnt hurt much. They gave me Demerol and Ibeprofin for home. It made me a fuckin zonbie but I could eat 3 cheeseburgers with 4 holes in my head, lol. No pain.

You'll be fine. I'm in the middle of day 2 and I have ZERO pain, not even taking the pain killers they gave me and I'm eating noodle soup now! hehe

I think I'm getting addicted to the Oxycodone they gave me! I took 3 em of a while ago and I feel SO RELAXED!!

Day 3. My mouth feels pretty good today. Can't wait till monday when I go to work I'm gonna have CIGGARETTES!! I read after 4 - 5 days you can eat normal shit again. I assume smokin ciggs is good then too.

be sure to use some ice or a cold compress to keep the swelling down afterwards.
