http://www.directnic.com has been around a long while and they are real reasonable (under 9 bucks per... bulk is even less) and they have a ton of ongoing features so you can deal with your domains no matter where you put them.

http://www.godaddy.com is the cheapest I have seen, though I don't use them.
1 year is $8.95.
I use directnic and networksolutions, but between the 2, even if it cost more, networksolutions always seems to be up and running a LOT faster then directnic.com
You get what you pay for.

http://www.directnic.com is $15.00 for one domain for one year. How do you get under $9.00, even if you visit the site it says.. $15.00 a year! That and I use them for about 10 domains

W@S... do I know you from other places? "W@S" isn't all that common of username, so I figured that you just might be someone I knew.

I'd go with www.directnic.com As far as domainsystems.com goes, I'd wonder about a company that has been accused of taking money for .sex domains when there is no guarantee that it will become ICANN acredited or if it does, no guarantee that you won't have to go and pay to register them all over again.

Oops sorry AA, that was the price we pay. We do alot of business with them for clients.

15 is still a great price considering the downsides to dealing with newer registrars that seem to come and go or get in to probs with ICANN. Stay AWAY from oznic tho!

I have been using domainnamesystems for almost 2 years and they have never charged me twice for anything. I have used two others however that have fucked me over beyond belief.... one won't send me my user/pass no matter what the hell I send them and another has cost me a domain name entirely that was legally ours, but domain name systems have ALWAYS been faster than hell about everything and very fair to me.

Just my experiences with them and I have like 8 domains with them.... none are .sex so on that level I have no experiences with them.

And yes Defiant....... it is the one you are thinking of here........ I have been helping him and he has been helping me..... who you think made my screensaver on that other post?

I have been using GoDaddy for well over a year now. I have registered over 100 domains with them, both personal and for clients.

Especially if you know that you want to keep the domain for a long time to come, you can register it for 10 years for $69.95 !!
I have not found a better deal anywhere.

I used to use directNIC, and they are a FANTASTIC company too, that I have no bad words for, but GoDaddy's prices can not be touched, and their service is EXCELLENT !!
You can also change your DNS settings on the fly with them too, and the changes are usually up and running within 24 hours, even though they tell you it may take up to 72 hours in their FAQs ... I would highly recommend them to anybody ...

As a web designer, If I have a customer who wants the domain for 10 years or more, I can register it for $69.95, and then charge my customers $150.00, and they do not even flinch at the price !!!
(especially when you point out to them that NETWORK SOLUTIONS would charge them $35 per year)
