That was my first thought when I saw the thread title. Burton is way underrated because the Guess Who never hit the same plateau as some other rock bands. Burton Cummings can seriously belt out a tune, just listen to "Undun".Originally posted by escorpio

dumb question - u can't say there is one greatest vocalist and range has very little do with anything if you ain't an opera singer.
my favorite voice in popular music is Sting.
James Taylor.
and if you're gonna talk about great vocalists in popular music history - Francis Albert Sinatra.
David Lee Roth and Steven Tyler.
