I just daytrade or swingtrade stocks/forex long term ain't my thing but look at the biotech sector, some big money making innovations will come soon.

And remember mags and advisors just do it for their own profit and normally don't know more than anybody else. The days for rock solid long term with big companies are gone, they die like flies atm.

wireless products yes. Goes a bit further than that though. They are a fabless semiconductor house. meaning, like nvidia, they create the product, and have someone else build it. Less cost to them, and massive patent royalties. Places like motorola, ericcson, samsung, sanyo, etc, all pay royalties.

That, plus the 3g data bits, make owning qcom stock a worthwhile 'risk'. I own, well, a lot of it. .

Check out IMNY, was a $1.30 a few months ago, then went down to .60. Now its backup to the .90 range, with instituions owning 51% of the outstanding shares . We are thinking its a takeover target with a $1.75-$2.50 price range. They currently have .51 a share in cash on hand. Click For Chart

I have 50k shares myself and have been playing it up and down, but it seems like there is a takeover coming and it should make a nice profit for everyone who owns shares. Do you research and buy some if you feel its a good buy

couldve bought (stamps.com STMP) a couple weeks ago at 9.00, now its up to like 14.00.

They patented personal postage, now you can get photos, your company logo, your baby, whatever you want on your US postage. It does cost about 3x the normal postage cost per stamp. Anyhow, just thought I would explain. heh

Have had Startbucks for over two years not I think and have done well. More stores opening nationwide, and other nations.

Price of their products have gone up and the demand is still there.

Long-term, I think HAS (Hasbro Inc) is a pretty safe bet.

They are stockpiling a lot of licenses in the gaming/cartoon domains, such as for GI:JOE and Thundercats.

They already own Wizards of the Coast, who dominate the card-gaming market with M:TG.

Short-term, buy whatever penny stocks you get spam about. I've monitored stocks I get spam about in the past, and everytime if you buy and sell it within 4 days or so, you can make 50-300% easy.

Armor Holdings Inc (AH)

AH is a holding company of a number of law enforcement, military and homeland security companies. From bulletproof vests to private military contractors in Iraq. I have it as a long term hold.

Computer Sciences Corp (CSC)

CSC is a provider of information technology (IT) and professional services. The Company specializes in the application of complex IT, enabling its customers to achieve their strategic objectives. It also provides certain non-IT technical services, including aircraft maintenance, marine services and international peacekeeping and security support to United States federal customers.
(They hold the contract to protect Afghan President Hamid Karzai)
Another long term hold

Cypress Bioscience Inc (CYPB)

Cypress Bioscience, Inc. develops products for the treatment of patients with Functional Somatic Syndromes and other related chronic pain and central nervous system disorders.
(I picked this one up at $2 a share. )

If you are looking for a secure long term investment get a bond fund. I hold both of the AGF bond funds and the return is on the order of 7% through dividends alone.

nice pe ratio, but i don't think nokia is innovating like they should be or giving customers the products they really want. not sure what they're doing at nokia over the past few years, they could have built on the momentum of the cell phone industry, but didn't grab the bull by the horns.
