Are popup blockers the cause of the spyware/malware epidemic?

I'm I the only one to beleive popup blockekers are responsible for the spyware/malware epidemic!

You don't really consider spyware/adware as a way of "selling" something do you?

Unscrupulous money hungry assholes and the programmers that work for them are the cause of spyware/adware.

I don't use them myself but you can't deny that the entent of spyware is to and do generate money. Why else would some sponsors and lots of webmasters would use them!

I've never heard of entent....perhaps you mean intent?

Also, hijacking someone's computer and then selling them a program to remove the hijack program you installed on their computer without their knowledge or permission isn't "sales" its "extortion".
