(1) This guy has spent his life trying to debunk supernatural phenomena. He's hardly objective.

(2) He wants to determine a different set of rules for each contestant.

(3) He does not permit an objective determination of the results. In other words, he wants to be the final, subjective authority himself.

So, what we have here is a diehard skeptic who will pay you a million dollars if and only if you can convince him and him alone (a virtual impossibility). BULLSHIT. Science doesn't work that way.

Now you're just lying. Those are not the rules.

I've seen some of his experiments. He does get scientists and other experts involved; any relevant people who might be required to perform tests or study hard data. And he lets the panel and the data determine if the experiment succeeded or failed. All in front of cameras.

I think you are a very sad and lonely, pathetic man. I think you are also clearly the dumbest person posting on this board.

I bet you believe in TV Psychics and Faith Healers too. :helpme

Attitudes like yours baffle me. Mainstream science has dissed parapsychology for years. Parapsychologists are simply attempting to apply the scientific method to test the existence of paranormal phenomena. Mainstream science refuses to even ask the questions.

Mainstream scientists don't want to face the possibility that there might be something lying beyond the grave. If they accept such a possibility, they then have to accept a creator. If they do that, they will have to accept accountability for the way they lived their lives, and they don't want to do that.

Of course I "want to believe". Anyone would. The difference is I let the evidence decide, not the "want". It would be great if all this magical supernatural fantasy was true. It would nice if there were an invisible man in the sky to take care of us all. Imagine if Santa Claus was real too! But wishing and wanting doesn't make it so, no matter how many other people you convince to pray with you.

Since claims vary greatly in character and scope, specific rules must be formulated for each applicant.

= different set of rules for each contestant

Do you think he would EVER pay if someone did provide evidence? The problem is that nothing is ever 100% conclusive. He could always say that the results are open to alternative interpretations and be done with it. If he was someone who was completely objective, I'd take him seriously. But he's been on a crusade to debunk paranormal phenomena for years.

He's a non-scientist who likes to pick and choose his subjects. He picks the loonies and runs away from serious contestants.

I always experience that, it's a bit scarry because there's always a possibility that you can't go back to your body. Some spirits might invade your physical body.
