No power in my home.. anyone else in FL ?

I flew in last night from traveling to Quebec and NY and lucky me came home to no power and cold water!!!

Anyone else in FL that has the same?lol

I had no power for most of today.

It was cool, I gave myself the day off and went to the pub,
had lunch and drank beer all day with a friend

But I don't live in the US

Chipmunk, I'm in Florida but up in the Panhandle. I just moved up here about 3 months ago from Tampa/St. Petersburg area. Hurricane season is definetely on, Charlie and Frances and now Ivan.

Sorry to hear about your power and cold showers.

I only lost mine for about 12 hours. As soon as it came back on I went outside to look around and watched a tree branch fall into my neighbors pole in front of his house and took down the power along the whole street. Luckily mine stayed on. He has been down for 3 days now.

Matthew you missed a hell of a time my power stayed on and I did not evacuate but we had a party people came and went crashed out got up and partied somemore. Other than being stuck inside it was a good time. I'm not sure about Ivan though...don't know if I'll ride this one out or not have to wait and see.

I live in Parkland and didn't have power for three days. It came back on yesterday. My brother lives in West Palm and my other brother lives in Boyton...both of them still don't have power. We spoke to FPL, and they said it could take 7-10 days.

You never realize how much you miss power until it is gone...

This totally sucks. Fortunately we have power at the office and I'm camping out there.

Mine just came back on after 3 days. We had a huge tree uprooted that landed on my neighbor's roof. Some of the flying branches took the power out of my house. I just had an electrician here who replaced the weather cap and the wire. It's sooooooooo nice to have AC again!
